Hello Again! It's Chris that bought your 2000 S1/M2. I just have a question for you. A while back I had buy a new Race Air Cleaner Assembly because the Carbon Fiber cover fell off one day because I didn't tighten it down all the way. OOOPS! I found a race kit for the M2 and the back plate has a hole in it to run the breather hoses into it. I was wondering what the benefit of the external breather fitting you ran on the bike is. Just to refresh you memory it is located right next to the Choke lever and it has a Blue fitting on top of it. I was contemplating removing it and running the back plate that came with the M2 kit so as to vent the breather tubes into the air cleaner assembly. I'm trying to get a cleaner running idol. The bike takes a long time to warm up and run true without sputtering. I took it to my local Harley dealer a while ago and had them check the timing and they said that's just how they run. I don't believe that because a buddy of mine bought a pretty much bone stock 98 S1 White Lightning and it idols much smoother and warms up much faster. PS Anyone else advice would be appreciated. You can reach me at c1111toro@bellsouth.net Thanks a lot, Chris Toro |

Toro what your asking is.Does it benefit to run the breather back into the carb for reburn....No leave it the way you have it now.About your warm up.Where is the bike idling after it is warmed up??I had it around 1000 rpm. |

I miss that bike! (with the old paint job of course)It illuminated my garage in the dark!!! Not to mention very original! Because you know what I would have BadS1 found a way to make it lower and the bike would have been mine...at the time it was traded in would never have guessed a year later I would have my license and a bike. But I like my Grape Blast!!!! (Message edited by naughtynurse on August 07, 2004) |
