I'm helping Pete at Stone Mountain H/D Buell get started. This is too cool! Anything I need to know? He's done all the paperwork. Said he's sending everything Monday. Ask me if I'd help. Like he had to ask. Looks like things are finally starting to turn around...

Anything I need to know?

plenty, but start with this: by starting a BRAG chapter you're inviting Buell owners and prospective Buell owners to visit the dealership on a regular basis, for coffee and donuts, bench racing, service, parts, accessories, apparel, trinkets, advice, and warm fuzzies.

if Stone Mountain is 100% behind this deal, i.e. fresh coffee and donuts always on the table, an atmosphere conducive to hangin' out and bench racing, a TOP NOTCH Service Department that SPEAKS BUELLS and doesn't rely on the customers to tell them what they (the Service Dept) should already know, lots (LOTS) of Buell parts and accessories in stock (maintenence, dress-up, hop-up, and otherwise), lots (LOTS) of t-shirts, jackets, caps, gloves, trinkets, etc. in stock, and a staff that LOVES Buells, SPEAKS Buells, SELLS Buells, and correctly SERVICES Buells...

...well, if Stone Mountain meets (or better yet, exceeds) the above criteria, you're gonna have a lot of fun.

good luck!

Ferris: Time will tell. Pete is excited and is very positive.

I'm gonna do what I can to help.

The fist thing Pete said after he told me he was heading up the BRAG chapter was, "We'll do track days!"

I still remember printing out a copy of the dcbrag.org history page showing the various Buell models over the years and taking that printout in to a local "Buell" dealership's service department to help them know what their Buell customers were talking about. The staff could rattle off all sorts of details about the differences between a FLHDFIXYCH3TFFi and a FLHDCXYP334GHYTy model, but ask them for an S2 service quote and they'd ask "you mean an M2 right?".
By the way, I have no idea what the various current H-Davidson model letters are, but just that they shure got long since the days of FLH and FLHT designators.

This is probably not relevent to the discussion, and I probably spelled relivant wrong, so 'scuse me. bye.
