Ditto!! The warranty definitely caught my eye! I noticed the 12R has more HP and Torque... wonder what all the technical changes are. |

DAMN!! The new site.. I'm at work and can't see it!! Buell now requires a higher browser than I have at work.. and of course I can't download ANYTHING!!.. Thanks Dave (Glitch).. I appreciate the info here, or I could have lost my mind! Phew... You averted a potential tragedy in the work place.. Later, |

The InterActive exhaust looks interesting. Electronically controlled "gate" internal inside the muffler. On the fly exhaust tuning. Neat if it works,,, Also, did you notice the size of the exhaust outlet? That's a BIG hole!

Wheelbase 52.0 in. (1320 mm) bummer, hoped for 55" Fuel Capacity 3.7 gal. (14 L) bummer, hoped for 5gallons minimum Overall: happy, should be fun, gotta go find a test ride someplace soon. Still don't see what I saw, at least I don't think I do. Gonna be a whole lot of ticked off dealers though. Anybody want a tuber? I think the tuber market just tanked. And is the $1700 difference enough to keep the 9's rolling off the showroom floors? |

Whats with the 1203cc? Its an XB motor but I thought we were told they couldnt go bigger? Back to a 6800rpm limit but with the 103 crank hp its basically an updated tubeframer, nothing fundamentally wrong with that. Thats definately going to put a crimp in the 1050cc kit sales. I personally think the sales of the 984 versions are going to tank. |

You just put your 1050 kit on your new 1200 for a 1250 kit, bore size the stayed the same. They made the 12R an old fashioned "Stroker" |

Well, Ducati sells plenty of 800cc Supersports and Monsters. For the price difference I'm sure lots of riders will still opt for the XB9's. It's a great choice. Blake, not on the negative at all. I like the new bikes, I think the warranty will do a lot to help sales, the HP & Torque are up, etc etc. I just think if you are already shelling out $9000 or so for a bike another $1500-2000 for a much better version is the way to go. BTW, wonder where anon is? |

1 other way to look at it is like this, what happened to tube frame sales when the XB's were announced? They tanked as well. I still see quite a few tubers sitting in dealerships. |

Rumor has it that on the dyno, the new XB12's will be significantly more impressive than their tube frame kin. Someone mentioned a 6,800 rpm rev limit. I see peak HP is at 6,800. I don't see any definite confirmation of the rev limit. It could be 6,800; it could be higher. Donn, You don't like the XB12R in black with those gold wheels. Man, I've got some serious new bike lust going on. Rodman, You ever ride a Jap repliracer? The XB9R ergos are damn near indestinguishable from those of a GSXR1000 or others of its ilk. Ergonomically, I fit an XB9R like it was made for me. I'm 6'-3". A new record for Buell... they now have five current models for sale concurrently (I don't count the low and "T" versions as separate models). |
