Hello everyone, a few of you already know me, most probably don't. I think I know reepicheep from the PG boards????

I know a few of the LSR guys, and many of the folks at Waterloo HD.

I read here pretty regular, but this is the first time I have posted. And as with most first timers, I have an underlying reason for doing so. I help promote an annual drag race event, and am wondering if it is ok to post the info here?

Or is there another place on the board more suited to event promotion, or should I go fly a kite(I have two, a stunt kite used for kite fighting, and a box kite used for hauling the kids off into the sunset when naughty)

Anyway, check out my profile, there is a link to the documentation as to the depths of my insanity relating to racing.

To those of you I know, HEY HEY, to those I don't, HEY HEY to you too

Jay

Thanks Mike, will do.

Peter, glad you liked that pic, for some reason they don't show up when embedded in most forums like this. That kodak moment cost a bunch of cash and broken parts, but it is a great pic.

PG Boards? What are they? Not making any connection. I hang out on the yahoo groups email list, both Radian and Buell, but generally only end up referring people back to here.

The nickname sounds familiar though...

Jay,
I don't think it would be against the rules of I asked you for some details such as dates location and classes for this event. I'm asking. Please?

Sure, be happy to provide them. Cedar Falls, Iowa, July 12, 2003, Cedar Falls Raceway. In conjunction with the Annual Harleys and Hot Rods, Day at the Drags, we are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Ironhead Nationals. The H and HR event has been going on for around 8 yrs now, and they have graciously let us attach our event to theirs.

There is drag racing for all breeds and there will also be a seperate bracket to determine the king of the Antique Ironheads.

There is a hog roast, 5 bands, bike show, fireworks, and over night camping for a gate fee of 5 dollars. 20 to tech and race, and an additional 10 to buy into the ironhead bracket. The ironhead bracket is 100% payback.

This event has historically raised a ton of money for the Make-A-Wish foundation, and is always a great time.

The link for our side of things is;

The link for the H and HR side of things is;

I have only recently started administering the H and HR page, and it is not current, The IHN page has the most recent info pertaining to this years event.

Fearnoevo,
The place to post info on events and such is in a new topic in the Storm Fronts or if it's a drag racing event in the Knowledge Vault "Racing - Drag Racing" topic. Or you could post it to the Storm Front group(s) that represent the area where/near the race. That's probably the best place.

Fearnoevo,
Get ahold of DaveS at W'loo Cycle Center. He is a regular poster and sponsor here. He knows the ropes.
