A stroll around Central Park can be nice.

Museum of Natural History has always been a favorite of mine.

I am sure others will chime in.

You could do my "Day Tour" but I walk fast and not a lot of folks can keep up with me.

It starts near Strawberry Fields, circles Central Park, all the way (walking) to the Brooklyn Bridge, through SoHo, Chinatown, Little Italy, over the bridge, a walk down the "Fruit Streets" to the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, jump on the train, to Whitehall, Staten Island Ferry to and fro (the sun is perfect on the Statue of Liberty at this time of day) and finally a walk up West Broadway back to Times Square.

For what it's worth . . . it's about 37,000 steps for me.

That's a lot in one day. You need to remember that, unlike D-town, people still live in NYC, so thre's traffic and such. And everything you want to see isn't available by a single-loop people mover ; )

I'd hit SOHO if you could, and grab dinner in the Village - lots of great little places to eat there without the hussle and bussle of midtown.

Nope . . . stimulus package baby. Large corporations (we're one of the largest) are taking a close look at everything. We got the word to hold mileage and travel to a minimum. I'm the poster boy . . . I walk.

My day, well about 3 days a week, is to arrive at Whitehall . . . wander through Wall Street, City Hall area, the World Trace Center, SoHo, Little Italy, Gramercy and to the office near Union Square at 14th.

Last week I had a meeting as the steam plant on 75th . . I walked.

Needed to drop something off at Columbia, at 116th and Broadway. . . I walked through Central Park, Harlem, Morningside Heights, dropped it off and headed back downtown, via Central Park and down 5th Avenue past the Flatiron Building, across 19th, stopped at City Crab for lunch, to the office, left about 6:30pm and walked to Whitehall.

That's unusual, at about 16 miles, but I do live sitting here listening to folks complain about never getting any exercise. I take the stairs quite a bit as well.

Fun stuff. I see and photograph a LOT . . about 150 images/day.
