Their coverage was awesome. It featured some really amazing camera work, including pacing helicopter shots, slow-mo through curves, on-bike cameras, etc. There was one place where the bikes would go airborne briefly in the middle of an apparent S-curve. Major pucker factor there! Rossi was present to watch the race and took a lap on a street bike afterwards.

It looks like an amazingly beautiful place for a motorcycle race.

I had just finished telling my wife that guys like Rossi don't ride the TT because it's basically the moto equivalent of Russian Roulette, when who should grace my screen? Why, the man himself! I was so geeked up I had to excuse myself from the table so that I could go focus on the TV. Too bad it was just a casual "tour" lap for him. I'd love to see what he could do if he really decided to open up on the course.

The coverage is nuts! The helicopter pans are gorgeous, and the onboard cams really give you a feel for the violence of the ride. Honestly, those blind corners come up so fast that if it were me I wouldn't even be able to decide "left or right" much less dial in my entry speed, hit the apex and transition to the next one... There's a fine line between courage and recklessness, and the TT has those riders skipping back and forth over that line all race long.

one of my goals in life is to make it there for that. i think thats attainable.

my major goal is to actually ride it at full tilt. there would be nothing like it in the world. man what fun it would be. not sure how im going to pull that off. it is hard to finance getting myself there muchless getting a bike there and back also.

You'd be a happy man to make the trip. I was there for the '03 TT's when my wife and I lived in Dublin. Can't describe it, stay for Mad Sunday.

Me too. The TT makes riding any kind of short circuit positively tame.
