I'm not sure what's more funny:

How this info became so suddenly important, even though the NYT reported on this program in December of '02? Link: NYT

How transparently political these "revelations" are?
The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence issues a press release manufactured entirely within his caucus, without the knowledge of the Republican ranking member or any other Republican on the committee, with Rep. Eshoo becoming suddenly and inexplicably available for interviews on the subject – and that’s not a political maneuver?

How a program that never left the planning stages is being used to divert attention? Link: CNN

How contrary to the MSM, no laws were actually broken? Link: Morning Joe transcript with Liz Cheney

Or finally, how many people will actually believe this tripe?

Guess they figured out the public wouldn't be indignantly outraged enough over a plan to capture AQ leaders, and if unable to capture, kill them soon after 9/11. So now they have to attempt to say the CIA was involved in Bhutto's death?

Hex, please tell me you're not falling for this?

You must not read many of his posts

Besides, I thought we were not going to have anymore of these "useless political threads" and instead, concentrate on finding people jobs, etc.

I think it's hilarious that he is showing a YouTube video from a RUSSIAN News Network.

Now there's a network we can trust....

And ferry, you're right. they are total useless.
too bad you continue to drink the right wing Kool-aid. try thinking for yourself for a change. And American news networks are 100% trustworthy? I thought they were the liberal media? Well, off to work at Argonne National Lab.

Rocketsphincter is right. If youve kept up with the huffington post youd realize the Bush administration is probably one of the worst weve had. Ever! Even olberman and maddow from msnbc could tell you the same.

Like, you guys just need to open your eyes to the progressive movement and stuff. Whatever. Iam off to work at the Pig and Cow Flatulence Recycling Institute.

In magic tricks & politics it is important to keep the viewers eyes on the hand not holding the ball. Basic.

I do fail to see how a non existent program in the CIA that roughly equals bar talk in late 2001 has to be reported to congress unless they spent money on it.

Even then, I appreciate that you can't trust any Congress critter with peoples lives, since they keep telling secrets that get people killed. I certainly wouldn't want the project to zap bad guys cars from space with high energy lasers revealed for some crummy pol's brief jump in popularity with a fickle press.

Now that that's settled, I want to know how many of you still don't believe in Counter steering?

They did spend money on it. Still, the law doesn't require reporting for non operational programs. The way I understand it, it was on again-off again for several years, they saw that it wasn't producing anything, and canceled it.

This is a diversion. Cap and Trade and an onerous 1000 page health care bill are being rammed through while the media and the citizenry are distracted.

I guess I can only hope that they read it this time.

I tried that once... Ran my car right off the road... It doesn't work!

I guess I can only hope that they read it this time.

It's more likely that I'll win the lotto.
