My father has an 05 lowrider, he will be riding sometimes and the fuel injection light will come on during riding every now and then for like two minutes and then go off.

any HD riders that might now what this is?????

Is it the check engine light? It may be an error code that was fixed, but not cleared.

no its the same light that comes on when you turn the key for the FI. and it doesnt stay on.

If it is the fuel pump light, odds are its a loose, corroded or bad sending unit.

HD uses crappy parts for the fuel systems if you ask me.

Yes that would be fuel pump. Loose connection under the seat -tape it, I did. Could also be hole in the tubing in the tank. Not unheard of that breaking or developing small hole that allows for pressure lose and makes pump run extra.

Depending on miles, it could be as simple as a fuel filter. If it reads a pressure drop, it will turn on the light; we just had an 04 Heritage doing the same thing.

And by the way - that *is* the check engine light that comes on at key-on. Dual-purpose - wait to start, and check engine.

I agree with Mark61. We have seen many of these systems with holes chaffed in the fuel line in the tank.
