Screw taking away her license, she needs to be behind bars.
It sounds like a clear case of criminally negligent manslaughter to me.

I see crap like that all the time. Guys reading having the paper stretched out across the steering wheel, women putting on makeup, all sorts of stupid sh!t.

In the Tampa area last week a bus driver didn't stop for a red light in heavy traffic because he was too busy texting. On the tape they aired you could hear the passengers screaming for him to stop. He never did and now doesn't have a job either.

A motorcyclist was thrown from her bike and killed Saturday evening near Lake Zurich after a female motorist — allegedly painting her fingernails at the time of the crash — failed to stop at a red light and slammed into her bike, authorities said.

WTF is all I'm going to say....

This type of thing pisses me off badly.
"You killed a couple of people. Here is your ticket and you're free to go"

Hopefully she will be charged with more than just Failure to Stop.
from the article: “The investigation is ongoing but there should be charges against the woman in the very near future.”

Some would assume/argue that driving is a constitutionally guaranteed right. Not the privilege that it actually is.

I figure this will get plead out before going to criminal trial. All her assets are being hidden before a civil action can be brought.

On a side note. Whatever happened to Billy Lane and his DUI Kill?

Insufficient. She (and anyone else you would impose this on) will just drive w/o a license...

Mid is right about that. Simply revoking ones DL will not keep one from driving. Just puts a couple minor road bumps in place.

I know a person who went five years without a DL due to three DUI convictions. Never stopped driving at all. Always had a car in the driveway. Begged her ex to keep it in his name and insured, he obliged her.

Ever read the local paper with the current court docs. Ever wonder about the number of people going to court with a "driving on revocation" charge listed.

There was/is a trucker up in MN that had amassed over 14 DUI convictions. Was still driving with her CDL.

A former co-worker had a couple DUI convictions. Simply stepped across the border and got a new license from them.

For this nail painting woman. I think putting her on the back of a bike. Facing backwards. Watching as that speeding car, with the unattentive driver barreling down on her. Just might wake her up. Then again it may not even faze her.

I followed a guy all the way to my work one day that was erratically darting back and forth, running off the road, etc. When I finally got up the nerve to go around, the had a newspaper open all across the steering wheel and his lap and was READING. Not a map, a frikkin' NEWSPAPER. I tried to call the GA State patrol, but couldn't get my cell to place the call... that *GSP thing doesn't work on a mobile, I guess.

Couldn't just tell them where you were?

I called the cops on a drunk driver I was following on the freeway a couple months ago.

No, I didn't know the full number to even make the call. I had "*GSP" stored in my phone (*-4-7-7), but the call wouldn't connect for some reason.
