I finally got to hold him. When Zander came out of the womb, he had a slow start. It took the doctors 20 min to get him to breathe on his own. Right now he is in ICU in Milwaukee. Mom and I go to see him every day. He is strong, very responsive, and 100% healthy. Because of the slow start, the doctors need to keep him under observation for a few more days. I can't wait to bring him home to our new house.

I have a Nephew named Zander. Good name. I also know your pain. Our Son was touch and go when he was born. I know the pride and relief you feel when you finally get to hold Him. Our Son is now 13 and a starter on his basketball team. No issues with health. I'm sure your Son will turn out the same. Congratulations!! |

"When Zander came out of the womb, he had a slow start. It took the doctors 20 min to get him to breathe on his own. Right now he is in ICU in Milwaukee." I would have freaked! That's the way my little sister was when she was born. I still remember how tough that was on the family. Now she's actually a doctor in Milwaukee herself. If you were at Froedtert, you probably passed her in the hall. Congratulations on making it through the tough part. Now bring the little guy home and start having some fun with him! Congratulations man! I love being a father. |

Thanks everyone! Steve, that outfit is all wrong! The little guy is doing fine. All he has left is a feeding tube through his nose. He is already taking 25ml on his own, and it's getting better every day................We just want him home! |
