They are completely wrong- Japanese 600 class sport bikes are no match for a well ridden Harley based Buell.

Fixed that for ya!!!

At my last track day this guy ran off at the mouth about rice being better than Buell. He saw nothing but the azz end of my Buell around the track.

Tell those fags that I will be in DC with my Uly on 9 April 09 and I will whip any one of their asses on any road they choose on any bike they choose.

Tell those fags that you are buying American what are they doing for our good ol' US of A.

Tell those fags that not only do their sisters love the back seat of your Buell but it was their mothers that told them to try it.

Tell those fags to come down to MB VI if they got something to bring.

Tell those fags that they are fags.

Hmmmmm..

So Bobby..

dot net or dot com?

I know the bunch you speak of and several years ago was involved in one of he same basic pissing matches with some of those asshats. One of them even went so far as to challenge ANY Buell and rider combination to a 'duel' at Summit Point.

I had a couple of friends volunteer to go out and meet the challenge.. When the guy found out that (he's a licensed racer) the 'old photogeek' wasn't the only one coming out.. he vanished..

Don't stress it, there are much better people to ride with, like me and Rat and Babired and.. well.. a bunch of us in the area.. really.. If they just want to bash you and pick on you in person.. well, maybe they need to come out and do it when you're not alone? If there were two Buell riders or more.. they'd start to loose the pack mentality.

Lastly. On an '03 XB9R I've 'owned' an R6, GSXR1K, Honda something or other and a slew of other 'faster' bikes. Yes, they can out run me in a straight line, but most of these schmucks don't know how to turn, learn to really ride. Take a look at tires next time you decide to hang with them. How many of these so called expert riders have HUGE strips? The really good riders, wont push it on the street, only the idiots. Besides, I know some roads.. hehehehehehehehehehehehe.. and they're not too far from us.. (depending on where you are)

Bobby - yep, I work at HD/BofF. Off the next week, but back on the 20th. Tipoff is, if there's a Buell parked right outside the front door (a red S2, white S1W or muddy Uly), I'm working : )

Parts guy...(special)Ed? lol. Great guy. Little different...but a good guy.

Also, check out our sponsor page here on BWB. We've got a tech session for street performance and trackday prep coming up. I want to say the 21st, but my mind's already in the Keys on vacation ; ) Sponsored by our race team guys, should be a great day with some good info.

And save the name-calling. Be quiet, don't talk a bunch of s**t...just go out and ride circles around 'em. Let your actions speak for you.

I don't think its right they run against 600's,that's like a 15 year old in a foot race against a bunch of 10 year olds.
But you gotta give it to Buell for actually stepping into the 21st century with water cooling.[quote]

Next thing your going to want is indoor plumbing and hot water.

I don't believe I've ever seen a post on BadWeb where the owner couldn't figure out why his bike wouldn't start. Then found out his high-tech master mechanic used a Mikita cordless as a ecm tuner.

I would just reply "you're right, I shoulda got a gixxer or r6 like everybody else in the freakin world" Did you point out to them that the new ricers are all bragging about their "new" low slung exhaust idea? Did you ask them what kind of B!t9h talks bad about someones bike? Guess I'm luckyt , I've never had to deal with it this is the only foru

I was giving an honest opinion, Jramsey have you read my other posts?Have you looked at all the other posts? I don't like the idea of runnign liters against 600s, but I was using a little cynism and sarcasm. I wasn't dissing Buell, heres some other posts same thread:

"So no other bikes blowup at the track, its only Buells? And wow look at that, theres no oil under my XB9R. Or my friends 12R. And when you say notorious, is that with the community as a whole or just you and your buddies? Seen a couple Buells eat it at the track, but no inline-4s ever do?"

"I don't get bothered when its negative about Buell, I'd just liek to see proof when generalizations are made about them without proof. I don't hold Buell above any other company. But when I see things like their oil leaking pigs and they blow up and only idiots drive them I'd like to see proof. I don't come bash your bike brand and say things like Yamahas leak oil, Hondas blow up, Suzukis throw rods. Every bike has its problems, but prove it when you say Buells blow up and leak oil all the time, because I haven't seen any facts. RnR cycles runs Buells, but would you go there and tell them their bikes blowup and leak oil all the time? I guess ya'll must have better judgment than RnR since they chose a couple Buells over the usual Big 4.I'm done with this thread. No matter what the facts are, you guys will always bash the Buells. Always the same group. Never seen anything bad about Ducatis or Aprilias when they should have the same problems as Buell V-twins, no? No, because Buell is an easy target. I agreed with you guys already that the performance (top-end, size to horsepower ratio) needs to be improved, but as far as anything else goes I ain't buying. I'm not trying to be a jerk, maybe I get a little heated but usually anything Buell related on here gets bashed, Buell2001's incindiary comments or not. It's not personal, I'm sure yall are very cool people in real life. But I think the near-constant teardown of Buell you guys show is weird. I'll just do myself and you guys a favor and not comment on any thread relating to Buell that you guys will surely end up bashing my bike. Done."

I do support Buell, I was just inarticulate.

Please lets just drop this thread. i overreacted, I got carried away, I argued on the net, very dumb of me. Sometimes I don't think things all the way thorugh, I apologize for any trouble I've caused the board. Taking Buell bashing personally isn't good, and its made me look like an idiot.

B00stzx3,I was raised in North Arlington VA. '58-'75 and then moved to Kansas with my D.C. metro-area attitude and found out rather quickly from the local Ozark hillbillies I didn't know near as much as I thought I did.

Just drop them a note: Suzuki has recalled 2005/2006 GSX-R 1000s because the frames and suspension can crack and fail catastrophically under extreme use....like on the track or backroads.

Guess @#$% can happen to any one.

Too many people mistake a lack of formal education for a lack of intelligence when dealing

with hillbillies, southerners, and other people different than themselves.....

BIG mistake!

Conversely, many make the mistake that those who speak well, are well mannered, and present themselves attractively are more intelligent than they really are.

I can't tell you how many "country folk" I have met who, by the look of them, don't appear to have two nickels to rub together. Then you find out that they are stone cold business people grossing about $1.5M a year.

Hey... DC ain't too far. Do you need some Hooligans to come up there in force and plug up the local watering hole with some lumps? Cause we can do it. I don't care who you are, 15 to 20 Roaring V-Twins will make anyone stop and look!

You know what? We've got nothing but warm days and hot asphalt ahead of us. Why don't we put a lil Northern/Southern VA Buell Rally together? Then invite all those guys who give you a hard time to come play with us?

You Northerners think you can put something together?

I like leaning back in my chair, putting my feet up on the bike seat and declaring: "You Win" Not even starting the engine.

Kinda like saying: "Wanna FIGHT? Go ahead and start without me."
