Anybody know the best way to get a clutch cable and throttle return cable for my XB12X delivered quickly? My local dealership would have to order them but I'm not sure if that's fastest.

I'm sure any 1 of the sponsors here would be more than happy to help you out. 1 of 'em may even have what you're looking for in stock. If so, a little 'next day air' and you'd be set.

How quick is quick? Your local dealer could likely get your cable in between 1-3 days depending on how far they are from a warehouse, or they could locate from a surrounding dealer.

I've checked on American Sport Bike, they don't carry the throttle cable (not that I can see). I guess the thing to do is get an estimate from the local dealership and then see about BWB sponsors.

I was hoping quick as in today or tomorrow (bike has been down for a week, almost ready now and I'm jonzin' bad) but I guess that went out the window when the local shop didn't have it.

Check with our sponsors...I'd start wtih Liberty, Appleton, Ray Price and Bumpus. Not sure who else carries a good stock of Buell parts. It took me 8 dealers when looking for a clutch cable last year. Good luck!

Placed an order with Earl Small's, the local for me. Should be here Thursday. Patience, patience.

I am so sick of this stupid car.

Thanks for the responses.

Tom @ Bumpus here. I've got the clutch cable in hand. Idle/Throttle close cable was used on a collision repair last week... In fact that is the only 2 times we've used one of these cables... collision repairs.. hope all is well.

Let me know if this helps you out and if I can be of further assistance.

Hey thanks, Tom. I've got them on the way now but I appreciate your response. I've driven past your shop in the 'boro many times back before I rode...MTSU alumni here.

Funny about the throttle cable...no collision but mine has a pretty nasty cut in it that we discovered when we tore the bike apart to fix a broken stud on the rear cylinder. Seems that not many of them ever fail. The studs are fixed so the cable is all I'm waiting for now.

Patience, patience.

Order two and you'll have one next time. I try to keep as many spare parts as I can in stock.
