Seems there are a lot of multiple bike owners in here. Anyone have any luck with getting a multi-bike (ala my auto policy)discount on their insurance? If so, what company? My carrier doesn't offer one...at least not to me...even when I offered to sign an affidavit that I was the only rider. Plus, stacking of motorcycle policies seems to be under attack in my state. Seems to be a rip off to me. As a side note, I love the fact that Buells are still considered HD's and therefore qualify for rates much lower than other sport bikes. |

State Farm gives good moto rates and gives multi-vehicle discounts. I pay $18-$25/mo on each of my three. Josh (in IL) 98 S1 99 S3 00 Blast |

Geez Josh...that's a great rate. Is that full coverage? I'll check 'em out. With no accidents/claims of any kind in 15 years mine is running 1300+/year for an M2 and S1. 100/300/50 comprehensive...of course I do live in the Tort claim capitol of the U.S. |

Yup, all kinds of coverage (limits were recommended by my agent I'm not sure what they are but I think it's higher than you posted)$250Deduct Comp, $500DeductColl. No medical tho (it's like $10/mo for $2000 of medical) but my HMO covers that. I think it's $18 on the Blast, $24 on the S3 and $26 on the S1. The Harley Sportster 883 I had was $22/mo. |

Sheesh, I have State Farm and shell out over $2100 a year on my Firebolt and Blast. Course, I'm 21, so that whole age-discrimination thing is going on. I wish I could just blow up all the insurance agencies, but then who would pay THEIR claims? Bryan |

Try www.dairylandinsurance.com They do direct sale policies (in most states) without having to go through an agent. I have carried them for the past ten years (or is it them carrting me). In fact with my recent loss claim, things actually have gone pretty good. I got 6500 for the M2, enough to pay it off and help pay for the S1. No hint that they are dropping me on the other bike either(not the S1). The M2 with a second bike('82 GPz) ran me less the $350 a year. Go figure a clean record(past speeding for 20+ over), multi bike, Better Bikers, etc. etc. That last speeding ticket was kinda expensive though. The deputy who wrote the ticket was real nice to me. We crested a hill at the same time, the snooper did not even go off till he hit the lights. I was doing in excess of a ton, the lights came on at 90 and slowing. He had me fair and square, that and I was pointed in the direction of his sub-station. Pulled over and waited the ten minutes it took him to turn around. Well anyway I digress, Dairyland has been good to me. I plan on staying with them for the forseeable future. |
