Anyone thinking that Heath Ledger's performance was hyped up because of his death are sorely mistaken. He reinvented that character and turned it into something incredible. I can remember thinking he would have his hands full trying to improve on Nicholson's Joker... He made Nicholson's performance look cartoonish and two dimensional. There's a scene where he's video taping a hostage and goes from his psycho laugh to a deep commanding yell that honestly scared the crap out of me, he sounded like a freakin' demon, it made my hair stand on end. It's truly an award winning performance that you'd never expect in this type of genre. |

This was an AMAZING movie. The action, suspense and humor was all spot-on. I think my favorite part was the "disappearing pencil" trick, lol. Heath Ledger was was flat out incredible. I agree that he made Nicholson's joker look like a joke (no pun intended). After seeing this movie on Saturday, I caught the last 30 minutes or so of Batman Forever (Val Kilmer) and took note how this latest generation of Batman movies has really taken the films past the "comic-book made movie" stature and into the arena of well-done, well acted, well rounded and award-winning movies. My only complaints - Two-Face was intorduced and killed in a pretty short time, and the Joker was left alive, but a sequel would be impossible at this point given Heath's fate... |

The nature of the beast is that there will be a third... a nice round trilogy. However, a reappearence of the Joker would be impossible, it'd be as bad as dropping Christian Bale as Batman. But there are plenty of other bad guys for the Dark Knight. The Riddler could be done and done well with the right writer and actor. And of course there's Catwoman... I had to run out after Two-Face and Batman fall from the building. I was in pain and on the verge of a very embarrassing accident, I could wait no longer. Was it definite that Two-Face died? Maybe he survived? |

It was cool to finally see why the bat-pod looks like it does and to actually see it moving. |

Did anyone else have the experience of being the only one in the theater laughing when he parked the MV in a dark alley? |

That bat bike might not look like much but It sure scooted along well in the movie. The Joker was awesome. I was blown away. The film made the other batman movies look like a weak attempt. |

We saw it today... The dissappearing pencil was sweet! The demon voice with the hostage freaked me out too, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Well, I'm assuming that Two Face is dead because they had a funeral... I can't imagine how they would do a sequel and keep the Joker, maybe it's already been filmed, like The Matrix(weren't the first two filmed closely together, then split?) |

Wow...by quite a margin the best movie I've seen this year. Heath Ledger was phenomenal as the Joker, he really made the character memorable (and insane...his mannerisms were awesome). I liked Nicholson as the Joker, but that movie was still pretty 'comic-book-y'. This was simply a dark action movie, and it was great. +1 on the disappearing pencil. I laughed my ass off. |
