"WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting, the justices' first major pronouncement on gun rights in U.S. history."

What if the right to bear arms was actually the right to 'bare' arms?

Those long sleeve puffy shirts must have been really hot in the summer.

Well that's it then! Bears don't have arms, therefore I have a right to graft some on! Geez, who would've thought the founding fathers were so forward thinking??

If bears didn't have arms, then how would their front paws stay attached?

I posted a link to a video on Badweb once about a gun shoot they host twice a year close to Louisville. Pretty much shoot whatever you can bring, one guy brought his own tank. It was done sort of like a documentary and was about 10 minutes long. I'll see if I can find it, IIRC I posted it sometime around early April. I really don't think it would matter what the Supreme Court said, we're (Kentuckians) going to own guns and we're going to shoot them.

Found it, it's at a place called Knob Creek Gun Range in Bullitt (how appropriate) County, Ky. They have a website and I believe they do this in April and October. They're just practicing their right to bear many arms.

"In a 5-to-4 opinion -- the final ruling issued by the justices this term -- the court held that the Second Amendment grants individuals the right to own guns for self-defense and hunting. It rejected arguments from the District and others that the Second Amendment was limited to conferring a collective right for states to form militias."

Kyrocket -

i haven't been to the event but I've been to that range. I don't think the law has a firm hold there. They day I was there some dude was shooting a WWII aircraft machine gun a couple of empty propane tanks!

Correction - Good video! I had no idea those firearms were legal there. The store was a neat place as I remember.

Been to Knobb Creek! Had a blast! I shot a B.A.R. I wanted to shoot a flame thrower but it was bit to expensive. You can rent-shoot what ever your imagination can come up with.

Creamed Corn has never don't anything to me so I'll leave it alone to live out it wretched existence. Okra on the other hand is vile and disgusting stuff that must, for the common good, die! Send it down range and fire away gentleman!

I don't see how any objective person could believe in the collective rights theory. It has always clearly been a personal right. The Supreme Court got this one right for a change.

All malicious injury to okra must be prevented.

Pickled okra, however, must be eaten in mass quanities

I suspect Mr. Heston would get a good laugh out of that.

BTW, hopefully said handguns can be used on convicted child rapists to cancel out the FUBAR supreme court decision of the week.
