Poesting? Disadvantages of a computer the size of a Business card noted. Cool that it works though. I was standing in a garage and was on badweb. cool. Took under 2 minutes to get it to talk to my system via the wi-fi. It has a web browser, Itunes and a heap of other web apps available. It really is the iPhone you have without having an iPhone - but I don't have or want a mobile phone anyway, so it works for me. If you are a phone jockey it would be better to get a phone with a media player built in. But the iPod touch does great video and the screen is fabulous - for how thin the unit is. And it does badweb. neat-o. |

Not the full deal safari unfortunately. It doesn't do flash and a few other plug ins - yet it does You Tube - which IS flash - but it won't play the flash content or flash movies in html pages. ESPN eg. |

Here's my phone: It just got released on Wednesday, and sure as heck I got me one for free!!! with no contract extension!! Verizon XV6800 is pictured above, I previously had the XV6700 and had it at Homecoming 2007, ready to post the first "Official" pics of the 1125R, but badweb doesn't allow me to upload attachments..=) I think I've figured a work around if Buell has anymore crazy stunts like that this year at Homecoming..=) |

Our granddaughter has the ipod touch on her Christmas list. How much does it actually cost per month/kb to get the internet connection? We already pay for her phone so I hate to add on another big buck per month charge. |

Yeah - It finds wi-fi networks and joins any open connections. I have it hooked up to my 'Airport' - the wireless connection for Co-pilots lap top upstairs. Lots of coffee shops and public places have a wi-fi now. |

So......no additional charges unless she downloads songs? It would just cost me the price of the ipod touch? I hate surprises that cost me money like her phone does at times. |

Yes and no - most ISPs offer a data transfer limit - mine is 15gb per month, then it's paye (sic) by the byte. If it is connected to your home network it counts towards your transfer total. If it has found another wi-fi hot spot - it goes on that total - handy if the neighbor has an unsecured network! Probably not an issue, but watching you tube on the thing is pretty addictive. And yeah pay for itunes downloads. New Eagles album and a dozen of my fave Vid clips last night....plus 2 albums the day before....$! But there is tons of free stuff to download too. I got a heap of MotoGP podcasts just now - way cool. (Message edited by danger_dave on December 07, 2007) |

THANKS! This information helps me a lot. She has a phone and an ipod. I just need to decide now if a 12 year old needs more. Guess I spoil her a tad. |
