I was having problems with my OS so I sent this to Tech Support. Some of you fellas may have come across the same problem.

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system activity; applications such as Poker Night 10.3 , Football 5.0, Hunting and Fishing 7.5. I am having trouble loading Track Day 1.0 and Racing 3.6 won't even initiate!

I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please help!

Thanks,
Troubled User

This was Tech Support's reply:

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that men complain about.

They have found that the Trojan utility program that can be used in cases to block viruses, and in some cases, used solely to stop child processing is not 100% effective causing an immediate upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. But, many people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend and 7.0. It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system once installed.

You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0 and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the background application "Yes Dear"
to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE! because ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5! and Do Bills 4.2.

However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0!

Since you are having problems with your Track Day 1.0 and Racing 3.6, you obviously didn't install Bike 3.0 before upgrading to Wife 1.0. The only way to recover from this problem is to install the Toy Suite immediately after your next Diamond upgrade.

There is another issue that has been found when upgrading from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0:
With Girlfriend 7.0, your joystick was interchangeable between the many available ports. Over time, once upgraded to Wife 1.0, your joystick no longer has access to any ports without additional hardware such as Diamonds 5.0 or software like Anniversary 10.0.

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system!
Also, should you contemplate installing the beta release of Mistress, please see the Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony/Child Support.

Best of luck,

Tech Support

There is a reason 1/3 of my customers are served, filed, separated, or divorced. There is something very liberating about installing motorcycle 2.0 (as many have ridden before) over life partner (wife/hubby/domestic partner 1.0) Never try and solve a software problem where a simple replacement of the hardware is the answer.

I used to have Wife 1.0 but it crashed with a terminal lockout.

I subsequently recovered my hardware & checked out a number of different operating systems, some of them simultaneously, be careful doing this as not all are compatible due to geographic reasons.

For instance, gf 2.1 uk, gf 2.2 uk, & gf 2.3 uk, are all incompatible due to excess proximity, however any gf 2 uk series is compatible with another gf 2 series, such as gf 2.1 fr, or gf 2.1 be, etc etc.

Another useful program for when you're travelling is ONS.unlimited. as this is self deleting & leaves no permanent trace if a firewall is used.

I have since added a patch to upgrade gf 2.2 fr to Epouse 2.0, but having had previous experience of the wife system, I pre-installed, Bike 2.0, pubunlimited, & TOYBOX tm, some of these will not run without installing partner programs, I now therefore have, je m'excuse (the French version of I apologize) & Oui Cherie (the French Yes dear).

I have also found that if I occasionally autorun clean&sweep 3.0 this makes the system much more flexible.
I have had to manually install CookIt 1.5 as the version installed with the wife system isn't much good & I prefer to process manually.

All in all, I have to say that the French version is far superior to the previous uk version I had, & has very few limitations, allowing me to do mostly as I please.

If you are looking for gf2.0\ru, I do some translation and "matchmaking" as a side business. Keeps my language up to date and helps out with the dark dreary winter months. Be warned though, many fiancee 2.1\ru have a two year expiration period.

does anyone have a backup disc just in case wife 1.0 freezes up after trying to load the updated gf 7.0,to gf 7.65k. i'd like to try and use the new gf 7.65 beacause i've heard that it is more user friendly and creates less problem over the long term.

lol. I could translate the gf2.0/ru, but what I need to do is alter my current gf2.0: ) Apparently there are a few "physical maneuvers" that aren't in here codec: )

Was wondering if someone could post the commands with directions where to cut and paste

i had actually bought Wife 1.0 and returned it. Someone else had used the same program erroneously as GF 7.0 at the same time......

Jewels... what happens is, Girlfriend 7.0 and Wife 1.0 were expected to be very similar programs, where in fact they are totally different. This is an unfortunate reality with very few anomolies.

Boyfriend 5.0 and Husband 1.0 are just the opposite. Many women have upgraded to Husband 1.0 expecting certain traits of Boyfriend 5 to have been corrected with this upgrade.
Unfortunately for these users, the only difference between BF5 and Husband 1.0 is that Diamonds 5.1 is on Autostart.
Also to be noted is that instead of systematic automated runs of Flowers 2.0 (be they weekly or monthly), the Husband version (Flowers 2.1) only runs when there is a glitch in the matrix. : )
This is also against expectation and unfortunately there are few known anomalies.

there is a corollary between the number of times bf software has been run and installed and its inability to launch husband 1.0. Yielding the Blue screen of Death and a "Failure to Launch" error stream. Consecutive versions of bf fail to address this systemic logic loop.
Looks like I will remain single and continue to run newer versions of gf software ;)

Husband 1.0 or 1.2 and Boyfriend 1.0 (or any more recent version) have been tested and shown to be incompatible when operated simultaneously. Boyfriend has been beta tested but beta version has never been accepted even when compatible with processor on motherboard.

Note: you must assume risks in any beta testing.

Currently in process of a complete reformat. Have deleted Wife 1.0 (went through several operation system changes) and am using trial versions of GF 1.0 & 2.0.

I think that a purchase & installation of Wife 2.0 will result in immediate hard drive failure and the blue screen of death just like I got constantly in Windows 98 second edition...

Captnemo, at the moment multiple gf systems may suit your needs, but they are inherently unstable, and the after sales support is, frankly, derisory.
You may well find that at some future date wife 2.0 is a more suitable option, with greater backup.
Many owners make the mistake of not reading the operating manual.
It is IMPERATIVE that all desired parameters & restrictions are PRE-DEFINED before installation.

Hope this helps.

HA! and when you check into Wife 2.0, be sure to check cnet for updates and plugins like Nympho6.4 and LiqourStoreOwner2.2 BEFORE INSTALL!!!
