Apparently they were made at one time. Anybody have any info on these? I've honestly contemplated the idea a few times on my last S2, but not at all on this one as I've grown fond of the touring setup.

These photos are from an S2 currently on eBay.

Don't recall if I've ever seen a set in the wild or not,

They were made by Mark Triebold (sp?) of Crossroads Machine in Somerset, WI.

We have a few sets of the S2 crossroads rearsets. If anyone is interested in them, contact me, I'll give you a very good deal on them.

Yes, but we can't really make most of the Crossroads products. We got the tooling, but the files were mostly just tool path files for a specific and not particularly modern setup. For some of the products (i.e., XB handlebars pulley cover, shift/brake levers), I was able to use dxf geometry to re-engineer the parts, but for most of the tuber product line, the market demand doesn't justify the time and NRE costs. We received a fair amount of packaged product when we bought the line, and have been selling that off. We have a few of the S2 rearsets, a few X1 solo rearsets, and a handful of the blast rearsets left from the rearsets that we got at the time.

No, no M2/S3 rearsets. However, we do now have some Banke billet shifters available again, see http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/5777-01A

Al,
If you would consider sending me any of the M2/S3 files, I could try to Reverse Engineer them for you (N/C), so that you could be that much closer to having these available again.
If you decided to get some made, I would definitely buy a set of S3 rearsets.
Thanks, Mike

Generating the parts files is not really the issue. Every part would need to be prototyped, and then bought in a reasonable quantity to get the pricing right. M2/S3 rearsets were NEVER a popular seller. Folks with M2s and S3s generally don't take their bike in that direction.

Banke used to make simple peg relocators that worked OK with normal shifters/brake pedals. I had them on my own S3 and liked them. If anything, that would be the product to resurrect, not full blown rearsets. But even those weren't stellar sellers.

If there was enough interest, I could talk to James Banke about doing a limited production run on those like we've done with shifters recently.

I'm definitely in for a set if that happens.

I have one last set of these S2 rearsets that came with the crossroads deal when we bought the entire line. They've never been on the website.

If someone wants this last set, I will sell them for a VERY good price just to keep me from having to do the upload onto the web store for one set.

Send an email to sales @ americansportbike.com if interested.

And FYI, we have just a a few sets of the X1 solo rearsets that are selling for less than half of what we used to get, see http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/6111
