One of the advantages of organizing all of my printed Buell materials is finding old information that people have questioned. In this weekends unearthing I offer the elusive S2 rearsets and clip ons.
From the June 1996 issue of Thunder Alley:
S2 rearsets right
S2 rearsets left
The April 1996 issue of Iron Works had an article on the same bike but no better pics.
A faxed article from the November 1996 issue of Iron Works had some more information on the rearsets from Crossroads Custom Machine:
S2 rearsets vs stock
S2 rearsets components
And here are the clip ons:
S2 clip ons

I believe FMJ said that he has a set on one of his S2's. I have no idea if they are available form Crossroads anymore, but I would think it would think that they would have saved the program used to machine them.

Crossroads is quite the impressive little shop. I got a tour of the facility between Xmas and New Years last.

FMJ,

got any pics of them?

Those are great! I was just wishing for some yesterday. Wish I had a machine shop! Somebody, step up...pretty please!

I know somebody who owns a machine shop and could probably make those quite easily. Send me a PM and I will give you the name since Blake does not want his company mentioned on badweb.

...along the same line, it would be nice to integrate the new sidestand position into the sideplates with the rearsets...

Lets just do this once.

new sideplates with re-positioned sidestand AND rearsets.

I'm in.

How about a set of sideplates with the improved sidestand mount AND pre-machined holes for standard footpeg placement AND holes for rear-set pegs. Then you could move them back and forth at will (with the addition of appropriate shifter rods, etc.). If they could make a good cup of coffee too, they'd be perfect!
