I suggest building your own.
For a long time My X1 had a kit I housed in a ziptied leather welding glove. I had lost the other one anyways.

It fit under there along with my tire patch kit.

A premade kit is someone else's idea of what you may need.
After a while, you will get a good feeling what types of things you need.

Two tricks for compacting a kit further:

Wrap a segment of duct tape around a 3/8" extension so you don't bring the whole roll.

Jam the shaft of any screwdriver through the square hole of a socket and plug the socket onto the 3/8" extension the wrong way.

When I build my own, they have a multi tip screwdriver, a swiss army type Allen head tool, a similar torx assortment, a bouquet of zip ties, cutters of some sort, 10mm, 13mm, 9/16, 3/4 box ends, and a midsize crescent wrench.

"For everything else...there's MasterCard" : )

On the Ulysses, I also have a small Slime 12v compressor and a rope-plug kit.

I bought the original CruzTools set for Buell. It has both metric and inch wrenches. I've never carried it, there's no good place to put it. Never needed it, the one problem I had, it wouldn't have fixed. Hard to think of a problem that a portable took kit would help with? At least driving locally. Touring would be different, certainly.
I think the whole idea of tool kits when Hondas started getting popular was that 'nobody' had metric wrenches then, so they provided them. Do current Japanese bikes come with them? Or KTM / BMW / Ducati ? I guess the took kit for a Panigale R would be made of titanium?

My S2 is all SAE except the bits I've changed, so I always carry a multi-tip screwdriver, an adjustable end wrench, a pair of needle nose pliers, and bungee cords. Zip ties will be something I add because they're easy. Never had a need for anything else.

"My S2 is all SAE " I know it's picking nits,but the WP Roma forks take a 6mm allen for the pinch bolts and the Keihin carb has JIS screws which take a JIS screw driver.Ever seen float bowl screws all rounded out?That's using a #2 Phillips where a #2 JIS is called for.

A long time ago I printed out a suggested tool kit for tubers that listed all the metric and SAE tools needed, it had to have come from this site. My new KTM 1190 Adventure came with the most complete tool kit I've ever seen on a bike (down to a KTM bottle opener!) but it should for the price. My 2013 Harley FLHTCI came with a piece of junk folding tool kit compared to the nice tool roll with chrome plated tools my 2001 FLHTCI came with. The dual sport crowd likes to build their own tool kits and use them in their garage on the bike before you go on a trip
