These types of 3d printers are the future. Just imagine the possibility of at home engineering and manufacturing. . As the technology matures, just think of the possibilities... |

I have a few 3d printed parts on my bike. I have 8 machines in my lab at work. Most of my parts i design for my bike i 3d print first, test fit, then machine. Works great This way i can make sure it fits before i fixture and cut chips. When i just switched over to my vrod headlight i think i printed 4 different versions of my design before i got the light tucked close enough to the forks and located exactly where i wanted it. Then made them on the CNC, powdercoated them and they bolted right on- |

Here is the pulley i made for my bike that i first 3d printed to test fit. Also a prototype oil tank i was working on. here is a 3d printed heel guard im working on as well. this design has evolved from when i first printed this... I was just looking at fit and size.
