i removed bolt on back and cut 3 welds ..... so y will it not pull out of canister. any ideas...

D&D did not design their tuber muffler to be repacked. It has stainless packing. Also, the packing doesn't support the perf tube, it is welded in place, so even if the packing deteriorates, the tube will not rattle around. I don't believe you're supposed to take it apart.

This is according to the literature D&D published when the exhaust was first brought to market.

So what made you to even consider repacking the can? Hopefully you didn't ruin a nice "sounding" muffler...
