I read some where that the XB stator will produce more amps? is this true? My current stator will not support my heated vest for winter riding. |

You should have sufficient power for just a heated vest. If you are running additional accessories you'd see some trouble at low speeds and idle. You running heated grips? My favorite mod next to adding the heated vest was my heated grips. |

I thought a tuber could handle that sort of load from what I've read here. Have you checked your output levels, maybe a voltage reg on the way out? In searching for those threads last night I found a number of interesting threads on trouble shooting stators and such. My search was using the search tool on bad web. Key word "stator", with search function for whole words, under subject lines, going back 1500 days. Not sure if the cut and paste will work following a search: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/sear ch.cgi mostly skipped over the short post count threads and went for the longer threads, more discussion tends to make for better reading anyway. |
