Need to replace the speedo sensor on my 01m2 . Remember a post about a voltage limiter to the speedo . Looking for the info from the Bueller that posted the info or anyone else that has done this. Thanks

The replacement sensor should have the regulator built in. Just make sure you get the latest iteration.

An update on that. I blew a fourth speed sensor, even after wiring it to pin one on the ECM. Which had me thinking it wasn't the voltage.

Before the sensor blew though I did notice that the speedo would jump when I revved it at a light and sometimes the speedo would jump to the correct speed when I rolled off the throttle. The Daytona ignition and coil was sending EMI into the speed pickup wire. Moved wire to other side of the frame and shielded in conduit and haven't have a problem since. Learn more from failure than I do success. I thought I would pass the info on, if anyone ever upgrades to an aftermarket coil.

Nice tip...

Interestingly I think I spotted three speedo issue threads currently active...
