Ok I've got an '01 S3T that I've striped of the touring stuff and it's going to be my dragstrip play bike (was my wife's but I bought her an 883 custom). The bike already has a full V&H exhaust, race ECM and filter. I am going to be experimenting with cams, port work, and possibly turbo in the distant future. I have a NIB PC-II that I bought over a year ago with hopes of cleaning up a part throttle surge, but never got around to installing it as the wife wasn't interested in ride the Buell. My understand is that the ECMspy basically works like the SERT or for cars HPtuners. Will it operate at least a 2bar map sensor? Can I pull out ignition timing with positive manifold pressure? Should I keep the PC-II NIB and put it on Fleabay or try it. I also have an Innovate LM2 wide band data logger so I won't be tuning blind know matter what I tune with. |

Since you can adjust your fuel map at will with ECMSpy, I see no reason at all to use the power commander. |

Toss PC, use ECM spy. No MAP sensors on your tuber, so not sure how you would do that. |

I didn't remember seeing a map sensor, but pretty much every modern efi is either map or mass air flow. |

+10 on what jim said. Jim and his partners at JTSPERFORMANCE can really make your bike runnnnnnnnnnn. They tunned mine on there dyno and mapped it and i have to say it is better than i could have hoped for. It just runs beautifully. THANKS JIM http://www.jtsperformance.com/ |

Ah,those be the words--modern efi--- Buell DDFI 2 is not that. Relies on TP sensor massively, with ET sensor. No MAP, no mass air flow.Only newest Buells have an IAC. |

Is IAC the intake air temp sensor? If so, 99 FI bikes had those too. But yeah, speed-density through and through, density being determined by air temp, engine temp, RPM and TPS. Hard to measure air flow or pressure accurately in an intake tract that is pulsing like mad. |

ET is engine temp,IAC is idle air control on the late bikes. We use a 3 bar map on the turbo bikes. The 1125's have a MAP. |
