thanks ahead of time

I have the 2001 parts book that shows all the parts for 2000, followed by a page for 2001, when it's different; if that's any help.
There isn't like a list of the changes though. The shifter, the headlight mounts, and the muffler mounts changed. Hard to think of anything else you didn't mention, except all the recall stuff was fixed by 2001 I guess.

The beefed up primary chain adjuster was added mid 2000 so you likely have that, which is good. Same part number anyway i think.

I have a 2000 M2 that was built shortly after yours and I love it.

Thanks JV,
I suppose I should have been more clear on the info i was looking for, Buellistic has mentioned product improvements several times and i was attempting to pickup on that along with the other things done to the x and s series bikes that may just make the m2 a better bike. also what was the ecu change for the 2000 to 2001, was it timing, rpm limits or just the heat temp senors?.
any design changes with descriptions and reasons for change.

The ECM is 2 plugins, the addition of the bank angle sensor, also tach and rear head temp sensor. Compared to the 2000. I would get the 2000-2001 parts manual. I picked one up for a reasonable cost. (I have had both years)

Many of Buellistic's product improvements are fixes that are not in the book, like removing the spring plate and replacing it with some metal and fiber plates.

Or the "force winder in a box" that he uses on his bike by modifying the snorkle to hold a K & N cone filter inside the stock airbox so wet weather doesn't cause the filter to drown.

Or the way he modified Blast rocker covers to accept a PCV and run like many do with the XB covers now. They (XB) weren't available when he figured that one out.

The list goes on...

Yah, when Buellistic says "Product Improved" it means something HE did to improve the original. And all of his I've seen were pretty creative.
