Are new S3 fairings still available as a part? I've considered putting a S3 fairing on my M2 but a decent one has proven to be pretty hard to find. The mounts seem a bit easier to source.

Will a fairing from an S2 mount as well? I have saw several of them on ebay.

I actually prefer the classic look of the round headlight but have not found anything like that to my liking either.

Thanks.

I can't tell you if they're still available. I've got a '99 parts book and all the fairings start with part number 58740-. Maybe you can get a dealer to check HDnet to locate a dealer that by some chance has one. I couldn't tell you if the number is different for the earlier or later years.
The S3 mount fits right onto the M2 frame. The S2 mount/fairing are quite a bit different internally even though they look about the same from the outside.
These guys have reproductions: www.airtech-streamlining.com/buell/prodbuell.htm

My dealer did a search and no luck in either the US or Canada. The 58740 part number has an update linked to part number AM1663.bapmd. Deeley's in Canada advise that the primed skin is still available to order but is expensive.

Does anyone have any experience with the air Tech replacement one??

I would like to have an M3!!

try a custom chrome xlcr fairing, they're probably easier to come by and far less expensive with a very similar look!

They Only make S2 fairing!

Bad assumption on my part. I'd been there looking at S2 parts. I took the time to see if American Sportbike had any, but didn't check the airtech site.

That's two bonehead comments this week. If I'm not careful I'm going to get my keyboard taken away...

Yeah, the new stuff is really spendy. Give it some time. I'd say that there are a couple folks out that see these types of posts and take a few minutes to decide if they want to part with their extras or not.

The Firebolt fairing looks good, and they are cheap and plentiful.

Kev,
Have you got a few more pics of that? From the front and also looking at the dash would be nice.

Sure!

Front

Right side

Instruments

Mounting bracket

I started out wanting an S3 fairing, same as you, and ran into the same problem - finding a good one I could afford, along with the spider to mount it.

For the XB setup you'll need the fairing with headlamps, and the mounting bracket. Your instruments get mounted to the XB bracket, and you attach it to the lugs on the front of your frame by making some plates. The hardest part is getting the angle right. I tried to make the curve on the fairing match the bottom of the tank, which took me several tries.

Thanks guys! The throttle lock was made by a company called N.E.P. (no idea what that stands for). I got it from Aerostitch. It pretty much just snaps on. Mighty nice for long highway drones.
