Took my primary cover off this weekend and found a piece of dog ring on the bottom. Does anyone know of a place that I can get a 1st gear for cheap?? Harley wants $72.00.

A piece of the dog ring? You mean the transfer gear with dogs on it?

Dig a little deeper to find out WHY you have the failure. Sounds like it would take quite a bit of load to cause a failure as described...

Price of metal has gone up significantly over the past year so don't look for any great deals from new material. I can highly recommend the Baker transmissions though!

Being hard on things and being cheap isn't exactly a winning combination...

Good luck.
