Speedometer Calibration - is it possible? My '99 S3T provides rather optimistic indications of speed and distance traveled (over 5% high). I have the original size Dunlop 170/60 ZR 17 on a PM wheel. Any suggestions? Thanks, Olbolt |

There's several places on the internet that sell them, not aware of any sponsors though. Try some simple Google searchs and you should see the J&P Cycles ones at least, among others. |

I noticed the same thing after a speedo and sender replacement and asked the dealer for an adjustment or replacement. They went to Harley tech support and were told that a 5% error is within tolerance. Probably helps out with warranty claims too... |

Jayvee, the S&S Speedometer (electronic) calibrator is precisely what I am looking for - it will correct to either 1/2 or 1% of true speed - depending whose info you read. And it is made for H-D - a plug in. Thanks for the lead!, and I will give an update when installed. Regards, Olbolt |

Unfortunately, they are obligated to be perfect, or err on the the over side....makes speeding tickets harder to fight. Of course, if you're shooting for perfect, and end up a little short, well, then you're short. +1 on the speedo calibrators. They also work well with home-brewed speedo setups that needs calibration. |
