I am looking for an enclosed trailer to rent/use, for hauling 3 bikes to the BRAG SW torque-fest in AZ. I used a 12'open tandem axle trailer from u-haul for a track day and it worked out well. But they seem a little pricey for the AZ trip. ($300 each way on two one way trips per the web site) Plus there are no tie-down points inside the enclosed trailer, so I would have to rig something up. I found one company that appears to rent an enclosed motorcycle trailer (Midwest Motorcycles) and I'll try and call them tomorrow. Anybody know of any other rental sources for enclosed motorcycle trailers? Anybody else in MN headed to Torquefest? If so, I could talk to St. Paul BRAG (if they still have one) and see if the "club" could use one of their trailers. TIA |

Tim, The BRAG club has pretty much gone the way of the Dodo. We tried but it's tough with no dealer support or interest. I do know that St.Paul has inclosed trailers but I think they are pretty big. At one time we talked about using one to haul a bunch of us to a track day somewhere. That was a couple of years ago though... Drop me a note sometime, we should get together go for a ride and discuss "good roads" in the area. Emails in my profile. I'm down in Maple Grove so it would be pretty easy. Brad

Hey Western Wisconsin and Minnesota Riders... Check out the S.E.W.E.R. thread in StormFronts. We are starting to get some interest and have a tentative meeting/ride scheduled for next weekend. Read the posts, and respond which day would be best for you. Then during the week, jot down your thoughts on the venture and bring them with you to the ride. Oh yeah, and don't forget to bring a friend regardless of brand. All we ask is that they be good safe riders and be Buell Tolerant since even Buell admits we can't keep up in the straights. LMAO Don't feel bad if you can't make it do to the short notice and geographically undesirable location. You are most certainly among the riders targeted to be participants in S.E.W.E.R., most of the rides will be in your back yard next year and we most assuredly want your input. |

Hey, gang! Just to let folks know, the St. Paul Brag Club is up and running again! We're planning on at least two rides a month, maybe the second Sunday of the month, and First Thursday at Delano's Pizza. We'll be sending out a newsletter, probably weekly. There will also be informal rides whenever, wherever. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, e-mail me at lconroy@stpaulhd.com. |

EZ, I put in a call today, I'm hoping to hear back tomorrow. The service manager didn't have the info at work. I have a spare laptop I'll offer to him if he is able to use it. That way he can at least catch up on BWB. He's back out of the hospital and into the rehab center. Sorry for the delay in new info. Brad |

I'm pretty new here and was looking for info on local rides. I just saw the news about Lou and his crash, that's horrible. I actually know of him, and have talked to him, he's a real nice guy. Occasionally I find my way to the bar he works at and last year we got into a conversation about Buells. He took me outside and showed me his Blast and fired it up to show myself and some biker friends who were looking for a new ride. He rekindled my interest in Buell's and a year later I just got an XB9R. I live pretty close to the hospital he's at, so if I can help in any way let me know! Oh yeah, and if there are any rides happening around town soon I'd like to get on a mailing list. I bought my bike used so I didn't get the automatic BRAG membership, do I need that to join in on rides/events? Eric |

Eric, What part of town you reside? I'm in Maple Grove. We should get together and go for a ride or at least BS a bit. The BRAG chapter at SPHD fell apart a couple of years ago. Nils and Lou were working on getting it going again. Shoot me an email and we'll get in touch! Brad |

I'm posting this for Nils Johnson. This is hopefully good news! Brad BUELL RIDERS WANTED for St. Paul Harley Davidson's BRAG Club Hello fellow Buell riders! Let me introduce myself. My name is Nils Johnson and I am the acting president of the St. Paul Chapter of BRAG (Buell Riders Adventure Group). I would like to invite you in joining the St. Paul Chapter of BRAG. The St. Paul BRAG Chapter is sponsored by St. Paul Harley-Davidson/ Buell. The Chapter meets the 1st Thursday each month at 6pm at Harley Park located at St. Paul Harley-Davidson / Buell. There will be a short meeting and then ride to Dulonos Pizza, located in South Minneapolis in the Lyndale/Lake Street area, for dinner and camaraderie with fellow motorcyclists. There will also be a planned ride on the first Sunday of each month during riding season, May- November, leaving from St. Paul Harley-Davidson at 10:00 AM. These rides will vary in length and time depending on the desires of members. This month I would like to challenge each of you Buell riders to participate in the 5th Annual Lightning Run. The Lightning Run raises for Diabetes and is on Saturday, July 31, beginning at 8am. There are a few different rides, a parade and party featuring Willie G and Bill Davidson, the rolling Harley Davidson museum, Bubba Blackwell doing amazing stunts on his Buells, and the Factory Buell Demo truck will be at St. Paul Harley Davidson. I have enclosed a Lightning Run registration form. This has always been a fun event and it is worthwhile cause. Another noteworthy event for you to consider happens every Thursday evening. From now until the end of the riding season, St. Paul Harley-Davidson/ Buell and KQRS are sponsoring a ride to Shamrocks Bar on West 7th and Randolph in St Paul. Every Thursday night at 7pm, a group will be meeting at St. Paul Harley Davidson and leave for Shamrocks for an evening of food and music. If you are interested in joining the St. Paul BRAG Chapter or would like further information, please let me know. I can be reached at St. Paul Harley Davidson M-F at 651-738-2168 or email me at njohnson@stpaulhd.com . Thanks, Nils Johnson

Brad, Are you planning on going to the next BRAG meeting Aug. 5? I'll probably go. Might as well because they ride to Dulonos which is right in my neigborhood. Hey, where's my sling bag? I'm just kidding! To be honest, I sort of forgot about it. Any other Mpls/St. Paul area Buellers planning on joining the St. Paul BRAG chapter? Come on, people. Considering the depressing Modesto news at least St. Paul HD/Buell is making an effort. I figure I can at least give it a try. |

Brad and Eric, When you say you'll be there Saturday do you mean this Saturday at the dealership? The BRAG meetings are the first Thursday and the other ride is the first Sunday of the month. Are you guys talking about the Lightning Run? I'm kind of confused. |

I'm going this Saturday for the demo rides, bringing some friends who will hopefully buy Buells soon. While there, I hope to talk to Nils and Lou about BRAG. Brad will be there helping out with the demo rides. I'm planning on going right when it opens at 9am, to get out of there before the Lightning Run ends and the parade starts! |

I'm thinking about taking a riding safety course at Dakota County Technical College. It sounds like a worthwhile activity, not quite a track day but a chance to get to know my new Buell a little better. Info here I'm looking at the Aug 15, Aug 22, or Sept 26 dates. Is anyone else interested? |

Nils, Lou, are you out there? Sorry I missed the last first Thursday. We need to do some weekend rides before the snow flies. Shoot me an email so we can plan something, the first weekend of Oct. doesn't work for me but some others might. Eric (BTW, I took the course mentioned above, it was awesome and I learned a lot. I highly recommend it for anyone, I'm going back next year for some intermediate sessions) |
