Has anyone seen or heard testing on this belt? Is it really better? Do they make it yet for the older (XB12R Firebolt) so that I could buy one??

From the specs, it looks to be the same belt used on the '07 XBs. Or am I missing something?

Maybe, made it sound like it was some great new design.....guess it's the same as last year then. Have people been breaking less than the past models.

That belt was introduced on the '06 models. 16K miles on mine with no issues (that includes two sessions with California Superbike School at Pocono Raceway, too).

There have been a couple of Uly riders that snapped belts. You may want to do a search on the "Big, Bad & Dirty" area here on Badweb.

I haven't had any problems in more than 25,000 miles, though I don't really go off-road with my bike (except a few dirt roads).

The belt on my '07 was much better then the one on the '03. In looking at them side by side you can see a world of difference in quality and strength. My 2 cents for what it's worth.

I broke one on my 06 while on the track.

I've got 24k on my stock 04 belt... and am starting to think about buying a replacement.

By the way... I live 1.5 miles down a gravel, dirt road. No problems yet!!!

American Sportbike sells it. It fits 04 and up models.

New belt. At least on the 1125R a new belt.
I read some where here (maybe it was an anony posting) that although they know of no breaks to the "current" belt, they made this one stronger.

You know, every time I read this thread title, I can just hear Don Pardo (former SNL announcer) reading in his best cheesy TV announcer voice "the new HIBREX belt, with FLEXTRON!!!"...
