Had I have known of the '08 pricing and changes to the 12R I would not have purchased my '07 9R. Oh well.... still love the bike, or my little orphan as I now call her.

Just had to rant.

Glad that I did not purchase a '07 12R, I'd really be ticked!

Funny. We must have posted at the exact same time about the same subject.

I'll bet they will be discounted even further once the 1125's hit the floor.

If a new one can be had at 8 grand I will have one next year.

Interesting that the 12R now comes in Arctic White, the original color scheme of the first 9Rs. Now my '03 9R looks up to date! Those blue wheels would look great on my bike.

Great price point for the updated 12R

I traded my 9R plastics (white) for red 12R plastics.

Both bikes looked so much better! Mine also look like a 07 9R. last year @ the gap a guy said "I like my Buell too, but ur hardcore, u already got 20K miles on a 07 wow!)

The white bike has amber wheels and no decals, we called her "The promised bike", "milk and honey"

As I stated on another post, it doesn't make sense that the Firebolt is cheaper than the Lightning considering they are almost the exact same bike. I understand that the Firebolt's price was lowered to put more of a price gap between it and the 1125R, but I don't see how they justify charging more for the Lightning.

I concur. Although I can see the justification for the Lightning long but the standard frame XBS should match the price of the XBR IMO. I think they will sell many many less XBS compared to the XBSs just for range and comfort.

Something about the 12R in white and blue speaks to me though. I origonally wanted the S model but the R is more and more appealing.

I saw one of the new white XB12Rs at the factory, they really look good. I really like the new throttlebody too, if my information is correct.

I wonder how long the XB12R will remain in the Buell lineup?

They have been deleted from the European model lineup for 2008 so will continue as a US only model by the look of it, as did the XB9R for a couple of years after being withdrawn from the European range.

So was the first Firebolt in '03, and the TT.
