I just bought an '03 XB9s... How can you tell if the belt is an '03 or if it's been upgraded? The belt guards are missing and I plan on buying replacements... There is nothing wrong with the belt but the bike needs tires, etc... I know the '03 belt guards will not fit up with an upgraded belt... so what to do/what to look for?

...and I have a D&D muffler that I want to swap for either a Race Muffler or maybe have a Drummer made? But I don't have a stock can to send in... and... and... and... There are quite a few things that need sorting out to make the bike the way I want it.

Race ECM
Open Air Box
Hand Grips
R. View Mirror
Seat
?? opinions?

I just went to the UPS site.... to ship 11lbs. (Race Can) from NH. to CA.

UPS Ground - $15.00
3rd Day Select - $37.00
2nd Day Air - $52.00
and up to $117.00!

D&D weighs 12.5lbs. I got this data from the Muffler Shootout. Great publication.

Cool, the can is in great condition, I take it yours is as well? Only flaw is I tightened the rear straps to tight and squeezed the can a little bit, not noticable. If possible to ship On tuesday of next week because I'm goin riding this weekend. I'll post pics later.

You might want to check out this recent thread which, in spite of its title, contains a lot of useful information about getting to know one's 2003 XB9S.
