thnx, guys. right, there are versions out there. i stole the idea from a Duc i saw in NYC a few years ago. (EDIT: that first link might be the Duc! the owner Michelle was super cool. sweet ride) over the winter i finally snagged a mask and started mod'ing to fit the XB headlight.

I dig the gas mask. The first bike I remember seeing it on was at a Streetfighter show in Germany in 2003, NOSfearatu. Unfortunately that was in the days before digital, so I had to steal this pic off the net:

"are you guys using an undertail kit? or did you cut the tail section off yurself?"

Some are using kits and some chopped their own. I chopped mine using some metal working skills. It's actually very easy if you know how to use a 4.5" grinder with an aluminum grinding wheel, some sanding disks, and a little careful patience. Pic attached.

trojan, where is that tail light from and how can I get one?

We no longer sell these I'm afraid. We had some issues with fit and finish on some units that we were not happy with.

The unit was basically a carbon fibre tail unit with a Honda Fireblade LED rear light unit fitted inside it. The shape of the tail lights that you can see was produced by cutting holes in the carbon tail unit.

Gentleman Jon-Nice sliders and other details. Can you give specifics as to how you fabricated them?
Altima- I like your placement of the dragon. I will need to rethink mine.
Thanks
Paul

Paul,

Thanks for the props on the sliders.

They are made from Ricta Crystal skate board sliders.
Ricta has literally hundreds of color combinations. I has used black with yellow centers on my old yellow XB9.

The rear ones simple bolt to the swing arm, which is a Hal's chain conversion swing arm.

The front uses a through axle, composed of two polished stainless bolts that screw into a center threaded aluminum piece, which is locked to one bolt with a lock nut. This avoids the threaded rod look, which seems a bit crude to me, especially if one does not use stainless rod. A couple of stainless washers space the sliders off the fork or swing arm.

Here are the parts:

Wow Brian,

After all you have done to that thing. I didn't realize you had many problem's. I thought of a new brand also but I'm holding off till next year. I'd like to see what Buell is going to do this year and then a couple other make's. I may keep my bike and buy another.
