great, thanks, guys. i need to make a list of interested parties to keep track.. . cost-wise, i'm not sure yet. i don't think they'll be too much though. i can't find the Hillbilly dash plates to compare prices but i looked around at universal vinyl kits that ran from $12 - $24 which seems correct for something as temporary as vinyl 'stickers'. the product i'm spec'ing will be quality Polycarb ~.015" velvet premask, lowtack clear media that's surface printed and custom shaped. basically, they'll be quality templates. something in the $25 - $30 range feels right on to me but i still need to work through the details. for my first run, i'll probably shoot for a tight design with all numbers intact to satisfy the general interest. once i have a template with my print co, i hope to be able to produce more variations without the crazy up-front costs. they charge all sorts of one-time fees for the custom tooling, etc. no biggie, but its a major thought for me right outta the gates. more as i hear it  | ||

i agree, Gearhead, but you're right that it's not cool to just slap any of the logos on there. wish there was a way i could work with the powers-that-be on this 'cause there's no way i could afford to properly add a Pegasus or any of the other logos to the design. sorry for the slow info to come but the holidays are definitely dragging the process out. printer is now on vacation although i did get the sample packet yesterday. more as i hear it.. . | ||

Typeone, If you pull this off, you'll be doing a valuable public service to Buell owners & just might end up with a lot of money to boot! The color & fonts on the stock gages are terrible and almost illegible while riding. Your's would be a vast improvement! I & several friends all want one once you're tooled up & producing! | ||

As strict as the ATF is, there was a time when you could buy silencers for guns, but you had to buy the external parts, and internal parts from two DIFFERENT dealers! Totally legal, except to posses both together! It could be an angle as simple as just adding another feather to the Pegasus wing?! Copyrights are VERY specific and therefore, easy to work around! | ||

Dude... All I can say is that MY PANTS are GETTING TIGHT just looking at this stuff. I mean, The one with the FLAMES IS SICK!!!! That might just be my new favorite design followed closely by the SKULL.. Like I said. I want 2. Hell maybe 4. Change em out to how I see fit. Dude, did you just print those out on your computer or are those actual Finished Products? Have you seen it lit up in the dark, yet? I would like to see some of those pictures. So far, dude... hahaa! Mark, that cracked me up, thnx man.. . these are just test prints done in my studio here, simple 1440dpi ink jet prints on heavy-weight, matte paper then cut with an X-acto. i did pop the dash back on the bike to check out the lighting situation but as Chainsaw and 147db pointed out, the back-side of the stock unit is printed as well to diffuse the light from the bulbs. i think the thick black ink would work well but i need to send my print house more info about the back side, see what they say. they already know its a back-lit application. i'll try to snap some pics in the dark so you can see what i mean but Chainsaw has posted similar before/after the addition of a back print. it helps a lot. anyway, i think the flame one is my fav so far too. gots another idea in my head that i'll draw up and post. these are a blast for me to crank out. | ||

i love the one with the flames as well! - except it would look even better WITHOUT the flames (imo) - as far as i'm concerned, the less "ornament" and the more naked, minimal, and "utilitarian" the better...i did like the pegasus logo, but also understand the trademark issues...please let us know how you're progressing, as this sound like something a lot of people are willing to fork over $$ for...myself included! keep up the stellar work! | ||
