Yeah Hardcorps, you don't have to be like that. Different people have different tastes.

Thomas,
I know I've seen something like what you're looking for (wire spoke, right?) somewhere, I don't know if it was an item for sale or a photoshop job, but I've seen it. I'm looking around to see if I can find anything.

Best I could find:

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=32777&post=571117#POS T571117

Went to PVM's website mentioned in above link, no mention of a buell application. Same with Marchesini, which was also mentioned higher up on that thread.

Nothing the matter with spoke wheels.

Here is an example of a Hillbiilly Motors project Buell with a set of wires.

sss

As so often happens with the trickiest Buell accessories, it comes from Europe. Hillbilly-Motors is one of our sponsors.

http://www.hillbilly-motors.com/html/wlport.html

They have tons of great stuff for Buells, but the prices may seem a bit steep.

Thanks Gentleman Jon, I knew they were somewhere in our sponsors, just couldn't remember where to look.

I know I'm posting a lot, it's been a long watch and this is keeping me awake.

pricey - but also maybe worth it for the Uly crowd, and guys using XB series bikes as dual sports, since you would be able to get other widths, and ( possibly?) diameters. ( read - tire selection for the dual sport crowd is terrible with stock size, and width rims!!)

FACT: Spoked wheels are the stronger than anything but a solid wheel, and they ride better too.

OPINION: I think they look sweet, and I am also considering a set.

they are tubeless spoked wheels

We have supermoto, motocross, and a limited number of models for naked: Honda Hornet, Ducati Monster, and Buell.

if i can get you anymore info let me know

FACT : Some people actually like choppers, garish paint jobs, chrome billet mags, and spoke wheels.
OPINION : I think Hardcorps hit the nail on the head, and the white bike pictured above, well at least it has the right name, you would have to be one to ride it. I'm just tired of people taking great/good bikes and turning them into Carnival Wagons instead of riding them. But this is still America and ............................

I'm thinking a set with red hubs and rims, silver twisted spokes and black plastics on the bike.

That'd be a looker in my book. I've never been a fan of spokes on sport bikes, but these are really top notch and compliment the bike, IMO. Much like they do on the Paul Smart Ducati and other naked bikes I've seen like the V11 Guzzi.

www.motostrano.com

is importing the Alpina's for use on SuperMoto bikes. You may want to ping them and see if they can bring in what you need.

Pwnzor,

I won't argue with your opinion, but your facts are whacked. Laced wheels don't even come close in strength to cast or forged. Not even close!

Imonabuss - depends on the application. a cast wheel cant take repeated impacts - thats why you dont see them on dirt bikes, rally bikes, and the big BMW GSA's.

if you want some confirmation, look to rally cars, and rock crawler 4x4s, where repeated impacts are status quo...its sucha cliche that black steels are now commonly referred to as 'rock rims'.

Motocrossers need to be aware that street bike cast wheels are stronger. Hit a curb with a cast wheel tell me what happens?? Hit a curb with a moto -x wheel..... nothing, normally.

Have fun fixing a flat with those spoked wheels.

They look cool though.

Fixing a flat? They're tubeless you know? Worrying about scratching the great finish would be more of a concern when tires are changed.

Who cares, if you want something don't let someone else stand in your way. Look at Bums... they do it all the time... they want your wallet... so they get it... they don't let you stand in their way.
