This is a Kawi Z1000. Talk about a cool streetfighter. Of course, this isn't what it looks like when you roll it off the showroom, but if it did it would have been a tuff decision for me to make when I was bike shopping. It would be sweet to have a litre bike that is still set up for torque like this one is.

They are cheap too, as many people didn't like them. I can tell you that the engine is great, and bullet proof, I had the same power plant in a ZX-9.

It looks better than stock!

The pipe (4-1-2-4, double pickle fork) on the stock bike was a love it or hate it design too.

Um... aren't those the Lightning headlamps? I swear, it looks just like them from every angle!

Sweet bike.

Yes, those are the Lightning headlights, complete with CityX guard.

I looked at them when I was last shopping (bought the XB12Ss). As Olinxb12r says, they should be set up for torque. Trouble is, they ain't. It's a sports bike motor and it hasn't been retuned. It's a top end screamer.

The suspension is low rent and the standard exhaust is very restrictive. Could be turned into a project, but the XB12Ss was better out of the showroom.

Looks tough!

I'm after the same handlebar setup as this for my XB12S.
ie. fairly flat with a slight sweep back.
Can anyone give me an idea on what 'model' bars I should be looking for?
(would these be 'drag' bars?)
Superbike bars etc, seem to have 3"-5" of rise in the bar, so don't look much different to stock.
If anyone knows of a particular brand and model, that would be great.
Thanks.

Captain

Many of the Bad Webbers here have Azonic CR lows, (I like those) and I think the Renthal Ultra lows may also be to your liking. Check out American Sportbike in the sponsor section for the Renthals.

I like the stock fairing and exhaust on that bike better, but apparently it's just me??

Freezerburn, thanks for that.
The Azonic's were my first choice, but they are not available locally.
The international postage is quite prohibitive (read ridiculous) for a handlebar!
If anyone knows of a good source for the Azonics, it might help me once postage is added.
I might be able to order the Renthals, although they bend more than I was hoping for.

I actually prefer the flatter bar up on risers look; gives the bike a more flat-tracker aggressive stance.
I think I'll check out some drag bars and risers.
