It happened Friday on my way home. I'm sitting still in traffic when this lady hit me from behind. Jammed me and the Firebolt between the 2 SUVs.

I'm ok but the Bolt is a total mess!!! I'm just sick about it.

I tried to send pictures but they're to large.

Sorry to hear, at least you are ok. Sucks that the bike took damage. At least she didn't try to do a hit'n'run, with you stuck there immobilized.

When I am stopped at a light I always watch my mirrors for approaching traffic and begin to pulsate my brake light, ready to spring between the lanes if they don't slow down.

Glad you're OK.

I'm sure the bike can be fixed, or replaced.
That's harder to do with life and limb.

Glad you're OK. They teach you in MSF class to (1) always watch your rear view mirrors when you're stopped and (2) always leave yourself an "escape route". OTOH, that can be pretty hard to do sometimes. Your accident is a good reminder to me that I need to be better about doing it.

If I saw an SUV behind me getting ready to kiss the SUV in front of me, my brake light wouldn't be the only thing pulsating, tell ya that fer sure.

Just unbolt the fairing and get a flyscreen. You already have a Euro Tail.

Funny it looks a bit like mine at the moment (though it was a quite different story)!

Good to see you are ok, by the look of it it could have been (much) worse.

What was I thinking? I should have waited until I knew the vehicle was going to stop. When I came to the stop, I looked in my mirrows. I saw that the vehicle was back there, it didn't appear to be going to fast, everything looked normal. I looked down at the instrument panel to put the bike in neutral so I could do an adjustment to my backpack and wham!!!

I just read the opening thread and scrolled to the pics,
My advise.......
refrain from the use of "I'm ok" seek legal advise.
I ignored some aches and pain after a collision, FU#K I'm paying for it now,
can't ride for more than a few hours with out hip problems.
I not about BS law suites but protect your ass, like it's your head.

Chilling photos. One of my worst fears on the bike.

I hope all turns out well for you. I really hope steps are taken to make sure the stupid $%@&ing @!#$ doesn't do it again. She should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

then it's still a white bike in it's heart.

You know, there are easier ways to get a euro street-fighter tail on your bike
