There is a little extra cost invoved as well...like having the tires removed and remounted and balanced and the bearings being removed and installed, but still way cheaper than new rims...I got my wheels rear sub-frame tailpeace and passenger foot peg mounts all done for $150...

Also, the one thing to remember is that it almost evens out once you sell your old rim. Let's say mounting, un-mounting, bearings removed, bearings installed, etc.....By time you're done, you're between $100 and $150 easy to have one rime powder coated. Now, you buy a new rim in villain black and then resell your old one and you'll probably get at least $150 for your old one....more if they are in really nice shape....so, you now bought a new rim and it cost you between $150 and $200.....or so.....it just really depends.

I've done some research...

SuperDaves can most likely send you a new one with bearings and axle sleeve for less than $300ea plus shipping.(that's what the silver ones are, anyway)

hope he doesn't mind me pimpin' him out like this

I don't mind at all!
I'm going to be gone the next few days from work. Going on the Uly ride but I'll be back next week if you need some wheels.

i wonder, w/so many options/interchangable components, still wish BMC could/would implement an economically feasible system to 'custom order' models via the dealer network &/or online for buellers - empowering us to order exactly what we want RIGHT FROM THE FACTORY would IMO make people happy.. no compromises due to generic color schemes necessitating swapping and seat heights/suspensions too high/low would be a good thing, again IMO..

robino, what did you put as an email when u first started your profile? either way, if you go in to your profile like you are going to edit it, it should show you your email in one of the boxes where you could change it if you wanted.

that is assuming my memory is right lol

The message you received in your e-mail is the PM. There is no "PM place" where you go to check your Pm's, they are sent through the Badweb directly to your e-mail.

When you get a Pm, the senders e-mail address is usually included for you to reply directly to their e-mail. Actually, I believe if you hit the "reply" button while viewing the "PM" in your e-mail, it should reply directly to the sender, unless the sender has specifically disabled his/her e-mail in their Badweb profile....

...or somethin' like that.(clear as mud?)

Most people that bother to comment on my bike, comment on how much they like the amber wheels.

you paid under $300 per silver wheel?
are the black wheels more? He mentioned something like $360 a wheel, on the Buell site they're $330 a wheel for the black ones.

The Buell site says $336ea and if you get the wheels from Daves, he gives a 10% Badweb discount. That's $302.40 per wheel plus shipping.

Sorry, my initial guesstimate was off a couple bucks. And Daves's list price may be different still.
