I've heard references to reprogramming the ECM on our XB's but haven't been able to find the subject directly. Is there a topic somewhere that spells this out directly, IE, what software is needed, cables, etc and where to get the stuff. Also, is there a place to get the factory map so you can go back to original if needed.

Now that I am playing with exhausts there is a good chance I will need to do some remapping of the ECM, maybe map it to the Race spec ECM? I'm planning to dyno it soon so I'll have a better idea then but I'd like to start learning about it now.

TIA,

The software is called Direct Link.
Call DaveS at Appleton, or Al as American Sport Bike for the inside info.
