I have amber wheels but could use white instead. Mine are in perfect shape - 2500 miles. Anyone have perfect white ones want to swap? If anyone wants to photoshop it in that would be cool. I am an trying to envision it and can't do it in my head so well. Some people say I should get white, others say black.

honestly I think the white wheels would make it look more "race" then the black. I know that black looks good on red, I posted a pic already of one without the full fairings |

White wheels will show the brake dust around your front rotor. If you powder coat, it should be easy to clean...but where did you get that fareing? |

Ebay - its the sharkskins street. Paid 388 and had a little patching done to it by the painter, but they were in basically good shape. Waiting on a ZG double bubble clear. I think white will be how I go for wheels (powdercoat) |

Instead of trading you can probably just take them to a powdercoater and get them done for about $100. Then you'll need new bearings and of course someone to take off and put your tires back on. I'm getting mine done, and I think it is going to be between $180-$220 for everything. I picked up the bearings off ebay for $50. Just make sure they are the updated bearings not the original ones before you buy some. With the white that you have one the bike already it would look cool with white wheels, but black or red would look really good to. It would look really awesome if you got white centers with red on the outsides. It would cost you a little more, but it would match your bike prefectly! Just my .02. Post some pics when you get it done. |

White! matches the tank and tail section trim, plus it looks racier. |

Thanks for doing that, that is very cool. They both look better than amber to me - white sure says "look at me!" but I can't complain about that given the rest of the way I have painted the bike. I just hope it doesn't scream "ARREST ME!!!!!!!!" Here's my new hat . . . |

I think the white looks the best. The reason I asked about your street set is that I have one on mine, but I bought it at Hal's for a grand! You got a smokin' deal! |

I would go with white and add a red stripe to the lip of the rim. Anyone else wish buell would offer polished metal wheels again or at least some other choices. I think amber has been done to death. |

Rudy, would you like to share your Photoshop technique? The results are excellent, and I assume you have a quick way of doing it. Thanks |

jon, make a clipping path of what you want to change. select the path. click IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>COLOR BALANCE. you can also mess with the CONTRAST or HUE AND SATURATION. select the clipping path for each new color, make sure you save each color on a new layer. good luck! |

Why don't you just have them powder coated? |

Because a trade only costs shipping, does not require bearing removal, or bearing replacement, (which can only be done so many times per wheel before the wheel is shot) the cost, hassle or wait of powdercoating. Financially I would rather buy new white, sell my old ones, and come out close in cost to out of pocket to powdercoating. I don't think it saves much to powdercoat and a trade is as cheap and quick as can be - |

White is going to be very hard to find since they are only on the XB9 from 2004 onwards. Not a great deal of people have them. |

Yup white will be hard to find, probably better off just buying new then. But remember only the inner part of the wheel is white the rest is silver. But then again that would still go really great with your colors. |
