I had horrible experience with the EBC green pads. They wore out in one track day and wore horribly unevenly. The stock Buell pads were way better for my Cyclone. Not sure how my experience might apply to your XB12R brakes though. Some folks seem to really like the Lyndal (sp?) pads. I think American Sport Bike sells the EBCs. Not sure which. |

i could be wrong, but i thought the green pads weren't made for the track. just for better daily braking and pad life. i think AMS only has the ebc sintered pads (race pads), at least that's the only ones they have listed on their website. |

I've been using the Lyndall Gold from AMS and have to say I really like them. The surging I got from the stock pads is gone. Can't say about the wear yet. |

i'm really looking for a set of kevlar pads. i'm not sure if the lyndall golds are kevlar, but i'm not dead set on ebc green. the kevlar is what i'm looking for. like i said, i'm not looking for a race pad, the bike is one of my daily comuters. |

The greens are racing pads. Why so set on kevlar? |

I got a set of Lyndal Golds from American Sport Bike, one of our sponsors. I am very pleased with them: they have a great grip, nicely progressive, and yes, I almost forgot, the very slight pulsing I had is gone. They are carbon/Kevlar. Just make sure to brake them in properly: Ten hard stops from 20 mph and ten hard stops from 40. |

Why so set on kevlar? because from what i've researched, kevlar yields great life out of the pad, has better braking potential than stock pads, has almost no brake dust to deal with, and keeps the rotor nice and clean. all of which the stock pads do not! how are the lyndalls with brake dust. the stock pads are rediculous. i can wash and detail the bike, and the wheels look like crap a day later! |

The green pads are not for racing use. They are a high performance street pad. And yes, they are horrible. I used them on my Ducati and they squeaked like hell, were pretty easy to fade, created a good amount of dust, and will destroy your rotors. My dad ran them on his Jetta and went through three sets of rotors over a period of about 70k miles and the pads were still okay. Yeah the pads last and they save you money on brake pads but your losing a ton on rotors. |

I've run EBC FA 345 HH for 2.5k and I'm very pleased with them. They combine bags of feel with bite, have brick-wall stopping power when you really need it and brake dust is minimal. Aren't the green pads for cast iron rotors ? |
