You need to buy the 'plug and play' wiring loom that goes with the digital gear indicator. This loom also gives the option to run the sequential shift light as well as the DG8 gear indicator.

If you have trouble getting them we have both.

THANK YOU!!!! I'VE BEEN WANTING ONE OF THESE FOR A LONG TIME!!!

So tell me, does this use your RPM to determine your gear number or neutral switch?

Now that's what I'm talking about. Just need to figure how and where to mount it.

There has been a few times I've wished I had a gear indicator but I have since started working on my memory concentration and so far it's...ummmm, what was I saying?

from what I understand, it plugs into your existing wiring. I believe it reads speedo and tach to figure what gear. Check the web site and ask them questions. I like it too, and I'm sure there are quirks along with it. I'm sure under normal driving it is quite accurate. When I get one I'll let all know.

I have one on my 919 - you train the thing when you first install it - lift the rear wheel and work your way through each gear while the bike is running - it uses RPM, speed, and neutral events to store which gear you are in. They work great unless you are in neutral.
