kds1, you say that you dont put design into the drummer just make it then test it on a bike i presume, then if its no good you look at it and work out why then make another one that will work better. lol

I wonder if that is how they make pipes at jardine and d+d

It seems to me kds1 is using the trial and error method. Nothing wrong with that.

Stavross, I guess I don't look at it as designing, I learned something 9 yrs ago and I just haven't gotten away from it cause it seems to work ok....

Bigeasy, The trial and error method you speak of, I change something all the time and test it so I don't pass something without it being checked....I don't spend hardly any time on any other brand of cycle just to make sure I don't miss anything on the Buell....It's harder to work on the fuel injected bikes without a fully programmable ECM, but I'm sure in due time there will be something somewhere.....

A muffler in not rocket science. A lot of manufactures can use a computer and come up with concepts but most performance parts and tricks come out of real world trial and error on the race track. When D&D, Jardine, Buell, ect. go to make a muffler they are also probably also looking at emission standards and other things associated with a manufactured muffler. I like the idea of the Drummer because your just modifying some to make it better, nothing too complicated. To me it's like back in the day when I would get glass packs installed on my car and after they get hot flushing the fiberglass out with water hose for a performance increase. I have neither but am debating both. From what I've read it's evident that the D&D is good for mid range and the Drummer is good for low and high ranges. Get the one that fit's your riding style. I think as sponsors the vendors have a right to voice their two cents. If I had to subscribe to this sight I would complain about it but since it's free I don't have a say. Just be thankful their footing the bill for us. Is someone going to tell Jesse James, West Coast Customs, or other custom bike builders their exhaust pipes suck because they weren't enginerred on a computer and dyno tested.

It would appear; the pipe wars were going on long before I got here.
And Bubba was shot down a lot harder than me.
Looks like I haven’t said anything that’s not been said or debated before.

I apologize if I got on anyone’s nerves, or offended anyone.

After a email from Blake, I will be way more reserved on my
future post about the subject.

And it will be evident in the absence of my post on the subject.

Once again.
I apologize if I got on anyone’s nerves, or offended anyone.

Let me help you out here a little....

1. My bike is a 2004 XB9s (yes I have amber wheels and the amber decals) The dead giveaway and I know its not obvious, is the silver frame

2. I made mention of Liberty Harley in..... Rahway NJ USA. Wow could there possibly be another Liberty HD somewhere else in the world? How wouda thunk it

Let me know if this adds up for ya

Here if u look closely u will notice the D&D decal on the pipe.

Hogs--

Go Lay Down. That post was regarding 2006 models.... Thread http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/112723.html?1115346712

But what does that thread have to do with this thread????? And yes I posted that link... I don't see your point here? Are you just trying to bust my balls over something? What does that link have to do with my profile and my XB9s? Put down that BC Bud, your a mess. If u read that 06 Rumors thread and my quote from the link they mention the 2006 Buells, there are no 06 buells yet, it was a typo... get it? LOL.....
