Ok this ? is for all you guys who have the D&Ds. I like my Buell race can but would perfer more sound. So I'm wondering if I buy the D&D how does it compare in sound and performance to the Buell race can? I have heard the D&D will sound like a fatboy with straight pipes, which would be fine with me. Any comments would be helpfull tx.

The best I've heard my D&D described was "DUDE I THOUGHT YOU WERE PULLING UP IN A BUILT CHEVY 350"

Had the stock can off in about 10 minutes, had the D&D on in about 10 more. Don't bother taking the idler pulley off, use a regular socket instead of a deepwell and a 3" wobble extension on your ratchet, that will get around the pulley and save a lot of time.

It friggin' -a rocks!

Get ear plugs...

I just installed my D&D that I bought from Dave 2 weeks ago. I think it sounds like a fat boy with straight pipes. If you like the HD sound then you will like the D&D.

Oh yeah,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,IT ROCKS NUTS, no, literally it shakes them around.

I have the D&D on my '04 XB12R while it is louder than others I do not think that it is as loud as a Fatboy with straight pipes. I have an '02 Nightrain with straight pipes and it is loud. I describe the sound of the D&D as kinda like a pissed off V8. Like others said the SOUND ROCKS.

Will call you today daves when you open. My dam kickstand fell off last night. So I will need that asap! Why not the D&D also!I parked in the grass last night at a outdoor concert and some girls where sitting on my baby. I think the stand got bent from this and she rattled loose and bopped off like a grenade at 75mph on the way home! It didn't bother me much though because one of those fine young ladies was on the back of my bike at the time.
OK I have called daves and my D&D will be overnighted!!!!!! Thanks Dave

Good choice. I also have a Suzuki SV1000S with Yoshi RS3 Race Only cans and it is generally considered to be very loud. But next to my 12R with the D&D, it sounds like a fuzzy little purring kitten. Oh yeah, by the way, the D&D ROCKS!!!!!!!!

When you convert to the D&D from the Buell race can, will you have to have a shop reset the ECU?
I think these things probably ROCK!!!

Dont think that is needed. Just had the 10000 mile service done and I'm running the race ecm with race plugs. Seems to run smoother with those race plugs, anybody else notice this?

I put the D&D on my 9SLR about a month ago.

Called Dave and left a message giggling like a little girl.

It rocks!

Guys I have it on now and love the sound. But I could swear it has lost power compared to the race can. Dont know if I like that. Maybe I just have to get used to it. It dosnt seem to pull as hard as the buell race can. Kinda of bummed out.

Okay guys: D&D, Jardine, or Drummer?? Which gets best sound/power?

Also, do these require new ECMS over the Buell racing kit ECM?

Art, I agree with Keith. Go ride it a bit and the ecm get used to the new pipe. My bike is insanely strong with the D&D and race ecm.

Thanks for the advice guys. I leave it on for a month and give it a chance. I ride everyday and am very sensitive to any changes on my baby! So I'll just have to learn where the pipe is strongest and adlust my riding to fit it.

Bigeasy

Maybe Drummer time??

You lost your bottom and your top end performance,
in your pursuit of the loudest pipe.

I should have spoke up earlier, but I didn’t want
to stir the pot.

I should have spoke up about the Loud 12 Drummer.
The Loud Drummer is a lot louder than the race can.
And has the best overall performance!
You can always sell it, and buy a Drummer.

Not everyone is looking for the same thing.

lol

Norris....

Not sure what you're trying to proclaim - the chart seems to tell me that the stock pipe is better than the D&D at idle and redline, but the D&D fattens up everywhere else.
