I took the "yellow peril" out for a quick canter. Charged its battery and mine:-). There was a bit of water on the roads from snow melt, as well as sand and salt from the recent snow fall, but it sure was a great way to start the New Year. Took it easy. The temperature on eastern Long Island was an unusually high 55º F, and I saw two other bikes on the road. As reported by other members on this board, the motor was slightly obstinate: started right up, but died the first time I put it in gear. Restarted, let it run for a couple of minutes, it was still a little hesitant, but after a minute or so in calibrate mode, ( 3200 in 5th, constant speed), it figured everything out, and ran perfectly well. Happy New Year to every Buelligan!! (Message edited by gentleman_jon on January 02, 2005) |

I put in about ~160 miles yesterday and rode with a group of 23 other bikes. Overall it was fun, but quite disorganized. Wasn't anyone's fault, just more than twice the number of bikes we had expected. I didn't plan the ride so I really just expected to show up and follow without knowing the route. More than once I found myself leading a group of about seven and trying to find the rest of the group. I guess the lesson learned is to always be prepared to lead. Mike |

I rode in the north GA mountains with a couple ricer buddies Sat. and the weather could not have been better! The roads had a couple wet spots and there were many cops on the prowl but we had a blast anyway. |

I wanted to, but the owner of the garage changed the locks after the attempt to steal our bikes. He hasn't given me a new key yet. I found out about it when I had my helmet in my hand and stood in front of the garage door cursing, because I knew he wasn't home. |

Myself and newcomer-rubberdown-rode about four hours yesterday. You cannot ask for better riding weather than we have right now in central NC. I hear the Buell calling me, gotta go!! |

Went out for a few hours yesterday and saw at least 75 other bikes. Was a good way to start off the new year. |

I happily welcomed the new year with a ride around the East Texas countryside. Me, my beastly bellering Cyclone and my ghastly yellow helmet did our best to offend the natives on some of the local farm to market (FM) roads. Is it just my imagination or does that Firebolt look a bit dejected? |

I got a chance to ride about 70 miles on my XB9SX. It now has 90 miles on it so I still have to take it easy on it. It's a shame. It seems like it is really going to start moving at about 3500 RPMs. It was about 60 degrees in PA, which made for some great riding, especially on January 1. Typically it is about 30 degrees with snow on the ground. A great start to the new year... |

Court, Lemme know next time you come out to God's Country (the Pinnochios). Lots of great riding around here although I'm trying to slow down a bit. Ride often, ride Buell, ride upright! |

The weather was foreboding all weekend here on the south coast of Tejas. I went out for a couple hours on Saturday anyway. Then washed the bike and the truck on Sunday in shorts and a t-shirt. This warm weather in January thing is weird...yet very cool!!! (Former northerner here!) later, Nick |

I was out on New Year's, a little cold (around -3c or 26f for you imperial system heathens) and snow was a foot or so on the banks but the roads were clear. Just did it so I could say I did, got a kick outta everyone looking at me like I'm outta my mind. Thinkin that's it till spring though, traction is becoming more and more elusive. |

I got in over 300 miles on a solo jaunt yesterday! The CityX may be at home in the city... But this is what the StealthXB was built for: http://southernhighroads.org/trail_map/index.html Words cannot express how amazing this place is! And unfortunately my camera is on the fritz so I could'nt collect any evidence. The only momento I have besides the memories is a courtesy warning from the Georgia State Patrol! Welcome THE YEAR OF THE BUELL!!!
