Who manufactures the Buell helmets that Harley sells. I am selling one on E bay and was asked the question.

I guess I was wrong...
I was told at the dealer mine was Shoei.
But after looking at all the models offered on the Buell site they are AGV, HJC and KBC.

That's a KBC VR-1. VERY nice helmet if you ask me. I have the grey/black/silverone.

its def. not shoei, a car pulled out in front of me 3 months ago and it split the front of if in half.

The blue/black Buell helmet I bought in '01 was definitely made by Shoei. It cost me about $300 if I remember right. I was riding the Blast back then.

I have that iridescent Firebolt helmet. My HJC fits better, but I LOVE the buckle closure on the Buell one. No more fiddling with damned d-rings.

Goldenboy9r - that's EXACTLY what a good helmet should do. Helmets are one-use only (ONLY!)items. The fact that it split means that it bled off energy that otherwise would have been transferred to your head or used in bouncing the helmet off whatever surface it struck, possibly snapping your neck.

the older Black and silver "WFO" helmet is a HJC
the Firebolt flip-up is a HJC also.
I have both.
