i'm in the same boat daily (not the weed part). took the xb9r out today after a week on the r1 and i can honestly say i still love them both.

the decision is now based on the roads i plan on riding. twisties = buell, straights = yamaha.

for me its the XB for long rides, and the sportster for hotrodding around close to home. i just hope to someday get the Buell as fast as the sportster, and still have it reliable for thousand mile weekends. How to get the power out of the buell, that is the question.

Ahh...I sincerely doubt that Fullpower's Sporty is anything NEAR stock form.

My choices for now...and the Blast is still just as much fun as the Firebolt, just in a different way.

I'm EXACTLY opposite. Sportster for long rides, XB for mountain hotrodding.

Oneway: My 883 tops out at 114mph, I've had a 1200 demo up to 112 but ran out of road.

HD Electra-Glide for relaxed cruising and posing around town, as well as going over the Cascades to Eastern Washington on weekend trips. Do you know how comfortable it is to have a backrest?
Electra-Hog

XB9S for any road up to the summits of the Cascade mountain passes as well as rural riding east of Seattle 100 to 200 miles per ride.
XB9S and Mt. Rainier

Is the back of the BMW supposed to be that low, or was it lowered for seat height?

Thats the stock height on the Beemer, Reep. What may be throwing you is that you are seeing the muffler, which is on the other side, showing through between the fender and the tire. One of the 'issues' with a shaft drive bike is the limitations that a shaft drive can be 'bent' to in order to get much rear suspension travel. I believe the GS has something like 7" of rear travel...

LOL...that picture is from April, when I had the truck out for the road trip. When left up to me, my garage is clean.
