What exactly are you looking for here? Try laying off the weed and turn that into a sensible question. Is the high beam not bright enough? Not white enough?

He probably means the low beam on an 'R'..I think
I recently read where it's shrouded on the inside
but can be fixed realitively easy...issue was addressed within the last month....

Easy, remove the fairing then remove all four screws that hold the headlamp together and voila there's your shield. I took mine out then cut it down so that it doesn't block light anymore, but it does still seal the headlamp from outside elements. then put it all back together. All said and done about 30-45 mins. worth of work and one of the best improvements I've made to my firebolt.

When you take the low beam out (4 screws) you remove the glass lens (another 4 screws) there is a very obvious piece of metal cut into a half moon shape, held on by a single screw, about 3" in front of the bulb itself.

I removed mine Sunday, and adjusted the aim down a bit more. Point of note: Windex will remove the silver coating in the reflector housing! Leave it dirty!

I'm pretty sure Ski just removed his(the deflector that is). He started the original thread. Stated it was much better.
