Well I just smoked my second front isolator mount in my XB in 6000 miles. Any one else having this problem? Has anyone seen an upgraded mount? Or have a solution besides me taking it easy because that is not an option.

6000 miles on my XB9S and the dealer says the mount is bad. Lots of vibration and the rubber looks to be shreding out of the top of the mount. I have only tried a few stoppies and a few wheelies. Maybe only 10 of each. This thing should be able to handle this, right? The mounts are only $50 and three bolts. Maybe I will look at the Super Duke when it comes out.

Same problem on an 04 12S - looks like a faulty batch as I have only 2000 miles and no stoppies / abuse...

We will see if they swap it out under warranty.?...

Hasnfefr You also need the bolt that goes bottom to top. The rubber is part of that.Good luck Kaudette, my first was replaced under warranty but I dont know about this one.

i had to replace the front isolator on my 03 xb9s at 5000. it sucked, but the replacement seems to be holding up fine. i'm at almost 12,000 now, and the isolator looks good. i did absolutely no stunting, but i bought my xb used with 3500 miles, so i dont know what the previous owner did.

What are the symptoms of a bad front isolator. Do you feel it when your using the front brake.

15K and still good...I'm pretty nice to the engine mounts (not a wheelie guy).

I haven't noticed any problems under braking related to the mount. Abnormal motor vibration is what brought it to my attention. Going down the road at about 50 the bike seamed to vibrate more than usual. Pulled in the clutch and let the motor idle down, vibration went away. Hit the brakes and slowed. Still no vibration. Looked at the mount and saw that the rubber looked tore. Hope that helps Yeahcmon.

Also feels like primary chain is waaay out of adjustment. Also feels funky when braking I can feel the motor moving around. And actually mine hammered the rubber on the bottom right out! Steel vs. Aluminum not too cool.
